Are you able to tow anakin using r2d2's tow cable ability and be able to use anakin's strafe attack in the process?

No, because Strafe specifies that it only works while the character is moving 'on it's turn'.

That would be awesome though Smile

I heard that it was legal for a while when AniStap and Yobuck came out, before it got errata'd.

Strafe Attack and Galloping Attack were eratta'd to only work on a character's turn after CW came out.

Previously, it wasn't a big deal as the most abusable uses were towing a Hang Glider around or having a T-1 picking up a strafer and playing airplane with them, neither of which were really all that effective.
