So every time the Wookiee Jedi makes an attack, it hits itself?

The Save for splash must be rolled each time this character attacks. Think of him being so careless in his attacks, that the splinters off of furniture, chunks of marble from pillars, parts of victims, etc. are hitting him. He's just avoid the shrapnel.

I prefer to think of it that Wookiees tend to be rather flammable and that swinging a blade of plasma around isn't the safest thing for them.
