Cyborg (Counts as both a Droid and a non-Droid; living; subject to critical hits and commander effects) Mounted Weapon (Only allies with Mounted Weapon or adjacent allies with Gunner can combine fire with this character) Glossary information for Living Quote: living
A living character does not have the Mounted Weapon ability and is either a non-Droid or a Cyborg.
So my Question is this, is this grievous Living or Non-Living?

Mounted Weapon + Cyborg to me makes the Wheel Bike versions count as both.

But by definition non-living is said to be with mounted weapon or droid. So regardless of the pilot being cyborg or not, the machine should make it non-living. The pilots of the other vehicles are all alive. I am going to get me some shielding upgrades haha

It's not exactly about the pilot it's about the SAs on the card. Cyborg is an included SA that explicitly states it counts as living. Mounted Weapon is an identifier for non-living status. Therefore it qualifies for both living and non-living status.

So would it count for the shielding upgrades? And I still see it as mounted weapon trumping cyborg. Man he is such a complex character eh? Haha

rule-wise I see no reason the Tsmeu version wouldn't gain Advanced Shields.

My assumption would be that this piece qualifies for Advanced Shields. Because despite that he is living, he has an SA that says he counts as non-living. I think he's both, rather than one or the other... and being non-living does not exclude him from having the living status (even though by "real life" logic, he'd have to be one or the other...).
I dub this piece "Schrodinger's Droid"

I think this one needs an official ruling.

Sithborg.
But I just noticed that the original Wheel Bike has the same issue. This is probably in the FAQ...
--- Update: Not in the FAQ.
I can see both sides here: * Cyborg explicitly says living. * The definition of living explicitly says the character does not have Mounted Weapon AND is either a non-droid or a cyborg.
Neither version of Wheel Bike meets the full definition of living, so I would think they are non-living. *shrug*

All conditions must be met in order to be living. The Wheelbike has Mounted Weapon, so whether or not he is a non-droid or Cyborg doesn't matter. By the same token, all the non-droid characters with Mounted Weapon would also be a question of if they are living or not.
The Wheelbike is non-living.
