So a few questions upon this interaction:
-If the vehicle special ability is used, would malfunctioning on the wheel bike transfer to malfunctioning on Grievous? Or would he be a fresh character and only have the damage?
-if he runs into a buzz droid can he keep moving as long as he doesn't attack again and continue to run through more buzz droids thus inactivating them too?
-would he ever take damage from a buzz droid if he had advanced shields from Tann?
I am considering running him in our upcoming regional but all this vehicle hate may change that

Malfunctioning affects non-living. Don't think that would transfer.
Buzz droids say "can't attack", so keep plowing into them.
Only if you fail your Save 6.
Your idea with Tann should make people hate this vehicle even more, go for it!

It appears a bit tricky so bear with me, but its not that complicated.
The wording of magnetic sabotage states that it affects mounted weapons, vehicles and strafe attackers.
Malfunctioning states that it affects non-living OR CHARACTERS AFFECTED BY MAGNETIC SABOTAGE. Therefore, a buzz droid would affect the wheel bikes attacks even though its technically living because its affected by the magnetic sabotage. However, you can keep going and absorb the other buzz droids but you would take damage (dmg reduced by 10 by the dmg reduction).
Once you hop off the bike and switch characters the character is living (all grievous characters are cyborgs and considered living). What's more this "new" character was not affected by magnetic sabotage. Therefore you are no longer malfunctioning.
With Severence Tann granting advance shields the wheelbike would take damage if it fails its advance shields save.
The answers directly above this are correct, i just wanted to supply a bit of description for clarification.
