Is there any way to print out a squad, with the stats for each character? I can't find anything so I wanted to ask. It would be nice to try squad that I don't have cards for, maybe even to a .pdf for mobile viewing. I know I can click on each individual character for stats, but it's not that useful for actual gameplay. Plus on mobile devices the pop up window isn't resizability so it gets cropped and I can't read the whole window.

Thanks
Don

It would be great, but it has been determined virtually impossible due to the sheer number of customs.

Oh indeed!
You can just leave the amount of points open (to represent your custom piece) while making your squad and just list in the comments what the piece if and perhaps a link? Or even just use a piece with the same point cost to represent that spot in the points.

There was (should still be out there) a program called the Minis manager that also worked as a squad builder. One of the cool functions it had was you could add your own units in as customs and use them in squad building. The problem I had was I added so many units (from the customs section on here) that it caused problems. Like Switching characters in my squads ect. But then again I did add over 300 customs so I shouldn't be surprisdedRollEyes

Thanks for all the responses, good to hear I'm not the only one who would like this feature.

I'm thinking something like what this site does, for X-Wing. You can view the full stats on-line, or save as a .pdf.

Thanks,

IDK guysUnsure
there's enough that needs done to keep squad builder up to old standards.
when that get done, we should ask for more, but it seems the the site is always lagging behind the
vsets latelySad

Yeah, that's because most of the work falls to just 1 or 2 guys. If some people with the know-how were to volunteer some time, that would make a huge difference.

have those 1 or 2 guys asked for help?
we need new mods, that can help keep the site going, Dave can't do it alone.

without the squad builder, the site is just a dead forum of a dead game

I don't know if they've asked. I'm just making the comment that if we want more stuff done on the site, it would probably be helpful if they had some people step up to help. Myself, I have no experience at all with website design or maintenance, so unfortunately I can't fill that hole.

Until such time (if ever) that the system is fully manageable with entry forms, the squad builder work is best kept to a single person. There are some quirks to deal with, and the part that isn't automated is not what I would call intuitive, to the point that I created my own tool to make it a bit easier. That tool has to be updated from time to time as well.

I have been thinking about asking Shinja to add a new moderator to help with forum management and such.
