BTW This isn't the Lessor Dooku would absolutely destroy This Parties Over. Makashi Mastery Negates Gowks SSM and Mace would get Demolished by Dooku. " Mace move's adjacent to dooku, Jedi Reflexes 40 damage first hit, Riposte 2 50 damage, 2nd hit Riposte 2 for another 50 damage. All on Maces turn, plus Makashi would block 50% of the hits anyways.

Not sure it would turn out that way, but it could. Mace/GOWK typically come with at least one movement breaker and a shooter. Drop GOWK in range for a FP3. Separate Dooku from the Spotter and then you can shoot him or go after the droids without stepping adjacent to Dooku.

Mace probably loses to Dooku, but he can be placed adjacent instead of moving if Foul is in the squad. He can also be swapped adjacent if you manage to move a 50hp piece adjacent so that it doesn't get killed on the way in. Mace can Force Absorb the two Ripostes. If Mace gets hot with his crits, the damage he can put out is literally unlimited, so there's always a chance that he kills Dooku in one activation. I'd still say advantage to Dooku, but I don't think it is an auto-win.

I played a very similar Dooku squad at LowerHuttACon last year (basically more Bombs instead of Mouse Droids in the base squad). I played it because I thought people would play Lancers/Yobuck to counter Daala, and I thought that Dooku would beat the counters and at least have a shot against Daala. I ended up going 2-2 - I beat a Talon squad that made the top 4, and a Caedus squad, but I lost to the two finalists - Dr Daman's Raxus Prime/Repulsor build, and Mike Moore Smuggler's Hero of Endor/Tantive Trooper build. I forgot that Luke HoE had Overwhelming Force, so he put 120 on Dooku that I couldn't do anything about - I made some mistakes, but it's actually a very tough matchup for the build, since he has Disruptive to counter my drones and can keep up with my number of activations as well. I made a very early positioning mistake against Daman, which involved my Spotter sacrificing itself for no good reason - IIRC, I did take out most of his Raxus without the Spotter (until he got 8 more with reserves....), so I might have possibly (probably only a very vague possibility....) had a chance if I'd kept my Spotter alive.

I found myself bringing in a bodyguard or Evazan GC against most matchups. I'd be very reluctant to use the MTB in it - don't feel like I have quite enough dispensable pieces, and I can trigger the Drones with my CE anyway. I know Urbanjedi ran his build with no Lobot, and more Drones, and I think some other NZ players like using Assaj Nightsister instead of the Spotter/Sniper, since she's a very good piece and Dooku can give her a lightsaber style.

I do think the Dooku is easily the best of the BHC pieces in a 200 point skirmish, as he can do area damage with Chain Lightning and he synergises well with 2 point pieces, so he can get a good number of activations in his squad.

Yeah, I really do like this squad. I think that the Spotter/Sniper version is probably superior to the Assaj version, at least at 200pts...Energy Shield is just SO good on a big tank that has Jedi Reflexes and Twin.

But at higher point levels Assaj would be the first piece I'd add; she's amazing with Dooku.
