So, Mettle's glossary text reads:
"If this character spends 1 Force point to reroll its attack or save, add a +4 bonus to the result. If the character can spend Force points more than once per turn, bonuses from additional uses on the same turn are cumulative."
I know that if, say General Obi-Wan Kenobi rolls for SSM and fails, rerolls (and gets +4) and fails again, he can reroll a 2nd time for a total of +8 to saves. But let's say GOWK fails the first roll, and then succeeds at the reroll, then fails a first roll for a second attack, and spends a Force point to reroll: would the reroll for the second attack have +4 or +8?

+8, from what I've been told.

Well crap. Edited because somehow I have been playing mettle wrong (think GOWK + SSM) since forever apparently.

Mettle bonuses are only cumulative for rerolls of the exact same save or attack http://community.wizards.com/comment/12167816#comment-12167816
