Thanks for posting, James!

Are the Imperial Assault tournaments (2 on Thurs, Fri, Sat and 1 on Sun) the officially-sanctioned ones, or is FFG running its own IA tournaments? That's confusing to me.

We have no idea what FFG is going to run, so these will be unsanctioned, although they will follow the standard skirmish rules.

If it is anything like what FFG has run for its other games at past shows, FFG will only run the champs and run lots of demos in the dealer hall, but we can't predict what they are going to do.

Trevor,
We are trying to be the 'Star Wars' gaming group. If it's a Star Wars thing we are trying to have it to play (ie monopoly and trivial pursuit). And like Jason said FFG usually runs a championship and nothing else.

Also the first prize in Imperial Assault is going to be awesome. You will want to win one or possibly 3 (hint), but that's all I will say about it.

Thanks for the input,
James

I love this and support this... but what about Epic Duels then? Easy to learn, fast to play, the game that started minis for me.

Could certainly entertain this idea for a future Gencon if we had a copy of the game that was available for use.

I would like to run a swccg draft(cube) and sealed(have a few boxes laying around for events like this) next year with you guys if the guy that has run them in the past doesnt. The guy that runs those events wont be doing them next year(least thats what he said last year that he wont be able to run them past next year). In the past both events get around 15-20 people. I think the problem is that he will run out of boxes after this year. I came into a few starters and lot of cloud city and jabba boxes.

Johnny,

As we told Jake we would be more than willing to do that next year. Make sure to contact us about in October or November.

Last I checked Epic Duels sells for $100 used and $200 nib.

I happen to own 2 copies of the game. It would be easy to make copies of the cards and maps and then use miniatures.
Not everyone wants random people handeling their expensive board games.
