I just played Malgus for the first time. He is powerful. I think there might be something there with him.
Richard said he made a "Red and Black" featuring Malgus, Caedus, and Vergere, that sounds cool.
Anyway. I want to play sith somehow and it is looking like Malgus might be the best bet.
Challenge:
Build a Malgus squad that can be playable in competitive matches.

http://www.bloomilk.com/Squad/172327/draw-of-the-dark-side- I did the same thing, and i think amanoa helps. I also went with the infiltrator to have a cloaked door control that keeps activations low, and most games i played it worked just sitting on gambit, forcing key pieces to come to you, or try and shoot you and have a hard time.

And yeah, Vergere force severing people that Malgus pulls close is just nasty, not to mention he can give VCA6 to Caedus if facing shooting, or Malgus if facing melee. Finally Freedon helps either of the two biggies afford all their force powers, and give FR1 to vergere.

Amanoa helps a lot, but if you are tight on points the krath death witch can help against shooters and is a cloaked gambit piece.

I just remebered that the Sith holocron could be useful. Dark allure and force curse could really help to disrupt your opponents squad.
