Ya i hear ya I remember trying to play Magic the gathering when it came out and some of those cards where like reading an encyclopedia. StarWars mini's haven't been to bad in most cases.

Well, when those abilities are spelled out on the card...

They are not changing the core mechanics of the game. And seriously, the needed clarifications needed for a lot of the abilities in the past year have been fairly small. The FAQ is still one of smallest in all the games in print, even if you take into account the Mini-FAQs. Trust me, if the 8-12 year olds at my venue can keep up with the game and the new stuff, obviously it isn't too difficult.

Maybe my experiences with SWCCG, with all the various rules that were added, that you would need a rules insert or access to online to know even existed, let alone how they work. There are very few abilities that really need the FAQ to play correctly, and most have only one question in their entry. So far, the new abilities that have been spoiled have been pretty straight forward as written, I don't predict a vast mini-FAQ needed.

those 8-12 year olds have the time.....
CCG died because of what you just said.
yes, we need an FAQ for all of the off the wall questions that might be asked in the very near future.

The CCG went out of print because LFL pulled the license from Decipher, and in fact can still pull 60+ tournaments 7 years out of print. The TCG died because WOTC made a crappy replacement to one of the best CCGs everymade, despite it's complexity. Seriously, trying to replace the one time competitor of Magic with Yahtzee is terrible, and shows that simplicity does not save games. And this game is still amazingly simple, some odd things otherwise. 99% of abilities are listed completely on the card, and most are able to gather the interactions correctly most of the time.

The FAQ is needed, sure. But SWM will never approach the 158 pg monster that is the SWCCG Advanced Rulebook.

Oh, look, an 11 pg update.

I'm not even going to touch the horror of the Heroclix FAQ. Yes, some more complex abilities have emerged, and a few complex situations. But that is hardly an arguement for not creating new abilities to evolve the game and make characters even more fitting.

I see what yer sayin SB, but we have alot of new abilities in this new set.
what was the last one we had? Roger Roger?
to me, that seems pretty good, though we could have used more new ones then just that.
all Im saying is that maybe Wizos can find some kind of middle ground when making something new, as far as abilities go. instead of 8-10 in one set, lets go with 3-5.

Six-inch high Mousie providing any sort of cover higher than your shoes... lol. That is another interesting little glitch in the game.

Maybe any character taking cover behind a Mouse Droid realizes that 6 inches isn't a lot of cover.. an they all dig holes behind the Mouse in which they hide.. yes even the huges.
