Here is my list of best factions. 1. Rebels- Luke's Snowspeeder squads and Force Push squads are unquestionably 2 of the best armies out there. They have door control, activation control, mobility, evade, disruptive and swap! Hard to argue against them being the best when they have all that and a winning record to back it up.
2. Republic- Yobuck, R2, Mas, Rex and Panaka!! Nuff said!
3. Seps- That retarded Lancer with GGDAC! Plus Whorm and Wat squads are equally formidable. I think this faction could make a run at Gencon this year!
4. Empire- Thrawn and Mas are what make them competitive! The Chair and Unleashed Vader help the cause.
5. New Republic- Disruptive and evade give them a fighting chance but that is not enough against strong players using the the big 4.
6. Vong- When played smart are very very good but against a shooter based squad they got no chance.
7. Old Republic- The Exhile is the only good thing in this faction.
8. Mandos- Good shooters but there is no room for making them competitive in 150 or 200 point games. They get out activated way too quickly.
9. Sith- Every piece cost way way too much!!

Rebels are certainly the best looking. Who do Seps have? One fetish model. And that's fun for a night, but anger problems aren't cute on anyone after that. And Imperials? Come on. Vader's breathing can kill any mood.

Seps have a lot going for them. Wat Tambor and GGDAC together in a squad is extremely good. Think of an endless supply of IG-86's??!!

Rebels because of the cheap tech, no questions asked in my opinion!

Seriously, it's all about the looks. With rebels you've got Leia, Juno, Han, Crix for those who like beards, Chewie for those who really like beards, and even some non-uniques like the rebel leader & marksman for those shallow fratboy twin fantasies you'll never admit out loud.

i would have to say for me the republic. I love the fact that they have so many options for different squad.

I think the Republic is my favourite faction at the moment. Although I am not loving the clones, I like the idea of throwing Master Kota into the mix. With Kota's militia coming soon I hope for new combinations.
I also think the Sith have some potential for 200pt games. Not sure about 150. I just really like Sith guards and Sith assault droids.

This question could be taken in a few ways: The faction that is most supported is the Republic The faction with the strongest CEs is the Rebels/Imperials The faction with the most variety is also the Republic But my personal favourite faction is the Separatists and here is why I think they are BEST -droid is useful for avoiding some abilities and the nasty criticals -thanks to General Grievous DAC they have in my opinion the most powerful CE in the game to boost up all their units -faction non-unique pieces such as the chameleon droid, the IG-Lancer, BD sergeant, etc... make them all the more deadly and hard to defeat -lots of droid support with Wat, San, repair droid, BD officer, Gha Naket also helps make the teams last longer and fight stronger -Also the cheapest shooter in the game who can be boosted to insane abilities -It also helps that I love the Seps so maybe I'm a bit biased but this is just my opinion

Have to go Imperial on this one. Even though Rebel was a VERY close second. First off, Thrawn is just awesome with swap, Master Tactician AND giving opportunist. Then you have the best two advantages in the game with Mas makin CEs global, and Ozzel giving you an activation edge. Fairly cheap SS possibility as well with Moff Nyna. Of course you also have some pretty sick fighters to choose from here. VAU, A multitude of Vaders, Palpy on Throne is ALWAYS fun, and Storm Commandos are super cool.

really. no one is voting for new republic? Ill be the first! Good commanders-wedge/dodonna great damage dealers-mara jade, jedi/han GH/some others beatstick beasts-shado/kol/kyle
Really a great faction overall and fun not to follow everyone else. Only thing they need now is a set with new republic trooper fillers that are actually playable.

I'd say Republic, not only do they have Yobuck and Gowk, but they have tech/CE's like Mas, Doombot, Panaka and Rex. They've also gotten a figure in every set except I.E. and R.S!

I like using strictly Fringe pieces. I think they offer the greatest amount of diversity. However, as they were not listed among the choices, I will go with New Republic. Mara Jade, Jedi rocks, Kyle Katarn offers some useful options, the Solo kids allow the inclusion of better Hans and Leias. Grand Master Luke. If used well, they can be formidable.

Imperials. You have: Mas Thrawn -Master Tactician, Swap, Opportunist/Ysalamiri (which ever you use) Lord Vader/LoTF Vader/Vader Unleashed- Just all around Pain. Palps Throne/Palps Sith Lord-Force Pool/Or bring characters with Order 66 (whichever you prefer) Imp Governor Tarkin-22 points for an extra attack for your Comms, not bad. Nyna Calixte -SS, followers get +10 against enemies with stealth, Recon. Arica-An all around beast by herself, throw Thrawn and Lord Vader in the mix, and shes a Hurt Locker. Imperial Dignitary
and your usual storm trooper goodness. Mix in some fringe, and The Imperials are they're in a league of their own.

In 200 pt games a cunning sith squad can crush about anything. Also republic has so many uniques to choose from they can eventually find a combo that whoops butt

I picked Mandos for two reasons: 1. They are Mandalorians! 2. See reason #1

Rebels get my vote for versatility and gimmicks, but their weakness of weak melee may start showing starting with the floor rules change. So, they get my vote now, but I think that Imps are a serious contender.
