I was about to go down to my LGS in about 45 minutes for our Dark Times case-opening party, and was just wondering... What should I buy out of Dark Times? I'm buying all my stuff off of one player who plans to order three cases. I don't plan to pick up any VRs but getting a Rare should be easy as should getting a C/UC. I'm willing to spend around $20 and don't want to cheat my friend by paying under market values. What should I buy out of Dark Times? Your thoughts please.

From what I can tell all the rares are going for around $5 bucks a piece. The uncommons are averaging about $2. If I were going to buy them I'd go for bossk for sure. Then I'd maybe get 4-lom and zuckuss and a couple commons/ uncommons.

I mean i guess it would really depend on your style of play & building squads. Zuckass as others said is good too in my opinion. The droids are good to go with seps. Theres alot of good pieces that you can get. I actually like this set, alot of good pieces, i would just say pick what you will use & your style of play, basically just think it over on what suites you.

Well first, I would check out auggies, they usually have about the right price for the pieces. It really depends on what factions you play. Skip all the VRs and pick a bounty hunter or two. I was able to get all the R, UC, and C I wanted out of the set for under $15 at auggies. Of course I don't play imperials which have some very nice pieces.

The Inquisitor is fun, and I like the imperial engineer. If you like trooper squads pick up the 501st stormtooper and Veers works well in those squads or any in which your characters have high def. The 501st commander and trooper are fun for the republic if you like clones. Also get Merumeru if you like wookiees. And Kotas milita are good if you like to use kota, or course! Now Fringe is the hard thing. The bounty hunters all have their own unique abilities, you will just have to look at them and see who you like. Definitely get a few of each rodian, the brute is great for swap squads, and the raider has triple for only 10pts. The togorian soldier is a good for anti-yobuck squads, the trandoshan elite merc is a good mercenary, and the talz chieftan can be really helpful if you have a bunch on non-unique fringe and face a lot of non-uniques.

Well as for fringe, they have alot of really good fringe characters in this one which is good for you, also you figure with the republic figures in this set, all if im not correct have affinity to rebel also so thats good, again it all really comes down to how you build squads. You should check out the characters section of this site & go to dark times & study the stats, maybe mess around with the squad builder & see what you come up with of what you like. Cant go wrong there. I would just say again take time to think it over before you buy them this way you make the right choices. But as for fringe in this one, i dont think you can go wrong.

It's actually the other way around, all the rebels have affinity for republic except Chewbacca.
