I noticed recently that trade offers have gone down significantly. I also noticed that some of the traders who already have at least one of each expensive piece are grabbing up extras of those pieces. What's the deal? Is there some sort of conspiracy to horde minis?

I just don't like trading that much. I've got loads and loads of R/VR dupes but hate to trade because it's such a hassle. When you have all pieces and are only looking for Non-Unique R/VR people tend to offer stupid trades.

People are getting ready for the V sets. I know that I will be making new minis for the cards, and Im sure others have the same idea. Some people will sell minis to correspond with new V cards. Some people are completing sets (such as myself) Some people are building massive armies. I only say this because that is what some of my friends are plotting....

Actually, it's been fairly busy the last month or so. Up until last week I was making updates twice a week, where I was only making one a week at the beginning of the year. The lul we are experiencing right now is the normal lul between sets. We're far enough away from the release of Dark Times and close enough to the release of MOTF that people have what they need or are saving pieces to trade in anticipation of needs. Pretty normal.

Darn. Must I buy from e-bay'ers at exorbitant prices to slake my ravenous hunger for Boba/Jango minis? :-D So this is pretty normal..., hmm. So it's a matter of hordeing trade bait for the next set then isn't it?

Nah, that's not abnormal, that's exactly what I have been doing for the last month until recently. Now you're the only one that's been responding to my trade post, Creme_Brule.

I bought almost $600 of stuff on ebay, and kept $250 of it. The rest I put up for trade offers, but nothing materialized, so I sold it to the big 3 stores for $150 profit (My backup plan). Would have rather traded a lot if it, but w/e. I did get a bunch of older crappy pieces that I hope would be virtualized.

Yes, it is a conspiracy. MWUHAHAHA!! Just kidding. If you are talking about Unique pieces, there could be a number of reasons that folks who already have them are trading for more: (examples, in no particular order) - trading to get a piece they need for another trade - helping out a friend, family member etc - customizing (v-sets or otherwise) - affinity (keep one with each faction - I'm working on this, but not for Revan, lol) some may find that questionable, but trust me, if you have a big collection, it is worth it not having to pull out a whole box of stuff for one piece.- sharing a collection (my son and I may each need a Wicket, Lobot etc to play...) With non-unique VR/R, well you can play multiples. If not for the plethora of Cade Bane squads, I might have played 2 Krayt Dragons at our last Dynamic Duo . jedispyder wrote:I just don't like trading that much. In this situation (which I share), you can just indicate "for my high wants only" for the really valuable ones - OR, decide that since you really don't need the pieces and the other person does, to just help them out - OR, sell them on E-bay or to a retailer. When I am finished with MOTF, I most likely will trade off all my extra VR/R for filler UC/C, and/or give them to local players that need them. Finally, as far as trading being slow lately, I concur with the others that have said it is simply a normal lull between sets, or holding off to trade for MOTF stuff.

I just completed a few trades with trick624 and bokkendo, and am negotiating at least 1 more. I'm down for trading anytime.

I would say that my trading has kicked into high gear. Mainly due to trying to get all the older stuff.
