So this of course is the Poll where we all vote for the most powerful Sith Lord and then we explain our reasons for it. Now I know there are a lot of Dark Lords and I am definitely not trying to slight any more than the others (although Darth Krayt didn't make it to the list on account of being weakened by his disease). I did leave an "Other" section, however. So let's do this. I'll vote later, but let's see what you guys have to say.

I see we got 2 for Sidious, but why do you think so?

Okay Eric, I pick Sidious. The only Sith Lord to have been so conniving to illustrate the Blockade of Naboo, the Clone Wars, the extermination of the Jedi, and then establish the Empire. Yeah...
Great Success!
Also, I hope you don't need a ride to GvE...lol.

I say Marka Ragnos. He was almost a freakin GOD of the Dark Side. Ruled most of the galaxy. And a cult during NR times broke out where just one of his artifacts gave hundreds of non-force users power enough to become all but masters of the dark side. Plus I think Ragnos would outright obliterate Sidious in a duel.

By power, if you mean abilities, it would be Caedus due to his wide breadth of Force techniques. If it's raw power, then it has to be Darth Vader before he got robotocized, or possibly Darth Revan. Revan was described as power incarnate, and like "staring into the heart of the Force".

Yeah, but he fell from power by means of donkey punch from Darth Malak. Punk move on Malak's part, but still.

I have to go with Darth Bane. He's the one who recreated the entire Sith Order from scratch and created the Rule of Two that allowed Sidious to do his thing. Plus, his sheer physical power and Force powers stacked make him, in my mind, the greatest. I think that he could take on any other three Sith Lords, even if they have exotic Force powers, raw power, vondun crab legs, or cunning conivery evilness.

Sidious. Can DEFINITELY hold his own in combat, and without a doubt is the most devious/intelligent.

Got to be Bane, in the physical sense and mentally. He had a long term plan, sidious had one but got side tracked witht the whole skywalker thing.

Bane was definitely the most powerful, but Sidious was the most clever. He was the one who actually took over the galaxy, and held it for a good long while.

Sidious was hands down the most powerful. He manipulated the Jedi without them even being able to sense the dark side anywhere near him. He could definately hold his own in battle, maybe not like Revan and Bane, but thier rise to power was through brute force. Sidious was smarter. He used his most powerful allies and enemies for everything they were worth, then burned them. I think he could've ended the Mace fight anyway he wanted, but he had to lose in order to turn Vader.

Ummm, Just want to point out that Marka Ragnos held almost ALL of the galaxy in his reign for over 100 years!!! Oh yeah, and he never died of betrayal either. He was so powerful that when he died, it was of old age because even his geriatric self was far too powerful to take down by Ludo Kressh or Naga Sadow, his two contemporaries. Think about that..., two of the more powerful dark lords to succeed him let him die of old age, not because they wouldn't betray him in a heartbeat..., but because they couldn't or they would have!!! He was just far too powerful.

I picked other because obviously none of you have read my soon to be released masterpiece: "No I'm all Right" the tale of Darth Porkins.
Porkins ejected moments before his x-wing exploded. He was hurled into space and was nearly dead. After the death star exploded and Vader went SPINNING AND SPINNING into oblivion, he ran into a large mass near the debry field:
Vader: What the hell?
(Vader looks out of his port hole and sees the bloated near dead corpse of Porkins)
Porkins: Help me.. .BEEEEELCH... PLEASE!
Vader had just endured a pretty bad day, but he figured, "what the heck, might as well"
He totally cyborged up Porkins and trained him in private.
He became more powerful than Vader but Palpatine still kept with Vader since he was obsessed with aesthetics and Porkins lumping around the death star was no bueno. The Porkins smell made a Taun Taun smell like fresh Georgia Peaches.
I haven't finished the novel yet...I need funds to complete it. If you'd like to donate to my effort you can send your money to......

I voted for Palpatine (he's not Sidious to me). I didn't really want to, but there was never another Sith Master that stood among hundreds of Jedi and never was discovered. He even killed 3 Jedi Masters before they got their sabers out of their pockets.
While I think Bane or Revan may have been more powerful but Palpatine, but Palps used his abilities to accomplish more than any Sith before or after.

though very true, do accomplishments equate to more powerful?
And DarthReeves, if that book ever comes out..., I'm buying ten copies. But ummm, yeah, won't be sending that money in just yet.
