Nice alternate for the swap. And the CE could be interestin if it woks with Mothma. If it does, I imagine you will change your tune. And really, Molator is a great melee fig. And not Savage, so very playable. The dejarik theme looks to be interesting. Wonder what else will be granted. Becuase Anistap is a bit better as swap fodder for 5 points less. I thought they mught give Plo flight(the Clone Wars episode) but...meh. Dejarik beasty is interesting. Giving Plo Grenades would be a waste, when you could just run up to someone within six and hit them for more damage. He also looks like he'll get shot up easily how can you say that? anistap sure has strafe and twin and all, but please remember he has 70 HP and 17 DEF and +7 ATK...i doubt he'll be hitting any high-booster GG DAC'd droids with that low ATK...and he'll be straightaway bombarded with attacks after hes done... plo, on the other hand, im very impressed. i totally agree with sithborg, i have no clue with people are hating on him. sure he doesnt have strike, but compared to the other plo (CS) this guy's MUCH better. a usefull CE (can the attack stack with mon's?) that can be even used with grunts, a wide array of FP's, opp. (only one othe jedi has opp. i think...wolf sazen anyone?), and a huge base stat total (130 HP, 20 DEF, +14, 20) IMO, he's awesome...cant wait for the other jedi!

40 points just seems like a lot to spend on him. He's an ok option, but I doubt he will be used much competitively. No way to help setting up Double (aside from swapping) doesn't seem worth 40. If he had access to GMA (like Kol), then he would be much better. Stats are actually quite good, though.
Molator looks pretty sick (don't really care for the stats though).

I think Plo Koon is pretty decent for his cost. Could he be somewhat lower in cost? Yes. But I think he's not that much of a let down at all. It's pretty much similar to what I would have expected.
It's starting like the Dejarik monsters are going to work well together as squads of their own. And I kind of like the Rebel Solider, kind of a supped up normal rebel trooper.

Molator looks pretty sick (don't really care for the stats though). 40 points for a possible 70 dmg in one turn, with 130 hit points and a 14 attack? Yeah that's actually a really well costed piece in my opinion. It's not like the Republic is hurting for good CE's. Perfect for Swappage. Yes...I invented the word swappage.

Actually I could see Plo being really nasty against Sep Droid squads still. Use Yobuck and Swap to run in and at least 20 on two IG-86's. Maybe put 40 on one if it's within 16 squares, or put 30 on both if you're running with General Skywalker too (though that's a LOT of points...might be tough to build a 200 point squad that way). Anyways, swap in Plo, and now the IG-86's can't move away, because if they do, they get smacked with Opportunist + Precision for 40 damage, which would kill them! If they don't move away, then one of them dies anyways, and then the other dies the next round, while Plo only takes 60 damage max from those two. Granted, have to leave him somewhat in the open to pull that off, so could be dependent on the rest of the squad, but I certainly see some options there. I feel like his CE is really limited though. The new 501st Troopers are the only 'troopers' really worth using in the Republic Faction. If the CE does stack with Mon Mothma, then it might be worth it, but otherwise, it disappoints me that he has a CE and can't benefit from things like Skywalker's Momentum or Ahsoka's Rolling Cleave. :(
Overall, mostly pleased with Plo though. Certainly a massive improvement over the old one.

Overall, mostly pleased with Plo though. Certainly a massive improvement over the old one. The Clone Trooper Pilot is not a bad piece for 9. Plus Plo has Pilot, so he would benefit from Odd Ball's CE too. I think there is synergy there. I think a few Gelagrubs with Plo could be solid too. Probably toss in Yularen to give them more sting when they fall.

Nothing new. Looks like they took the info from Robotviking and posted it on their site.

Yes, I did notice it. Still think reposting it on another website is redundant. Seems like the author, Ed Grabianowski, just wanted to toot his horn even more. I'm all for sharing official previews, but this just seemed unnecessary.

Man, the illustration on Yoda's card is straight up trollish! He looks like Hoggle from the movie Labyrinth! Yuck.

It's mostly a sci-fi/fantasy news aggregator. Re-posting articles is what they do. I don't regularly visit Robot Viking; I do, however, regular visit io9. So if there is a preview up on Robot Viking, I'm very happy that the guys at io9 re-post it so I can be aware of it. That's the whole point.

Funny you should talk about visiting io9. I'm just the opposite. I am far more likely to visit Robot Viking than io9.

Plo is definitely more useful than the CS version.
