hey guys

wanted to know if you think yoda of dagobah (COTF) or yoda, FS is better...both are little green dudes that have awesome force abilities...but, IMO, i think that they each haev their own uses. yoda, FS is good as a (literal) force spirit, and his CE is pretty sweet too. yoda of dagobah, on the other hand, is an actual "character" and has a high def/HP. he also has a higher renewal rate, has normal speed 6, and has light tutor...he also has the same CE as yoda, FS, though, note that yoda, FS's CE is limited to 6 squares...so, yoda of dgobah is a better force battery.

what do you guys think?

Yoda FS to me, hands down.
20 points is very nice, with haunting someone, having FR 1 and a Palpatine Toilet (Sort of) CE is the icing one the cake.

I think both of them will have spots to fill and neither will suplant the other. Yoda COTF has been an effective battery for some time, and with a force ghost in Obi he has been utilized even more so in some squads. I also took a look at the NR, and Yoda FS will be used there more than in the Rebels I think, there are more Force users in that faction and with spoke Luke on one target Yoda on another it can be a nasty day for someone fighting against that.

For me, Force spirit Yoda will probably never replace Yoda of dagobah (In Rebel squads)

120 hit points is very much an extra round of the enemy not able to kill your big beatstick or crucial tech pieces. Force stun/defense/and spirit 6 along with light tutor and 120 hp are all worth the extra 16 points every time in my mind. The fact that Rebels are hardly ever force point starved anyway given an 8 pt force spirit (that you can use with yoda, of dagobah), I don't think there will be many Rebel uses for. I agree that a lot of people will be using Yoda spirit to fill those gaps where they really want Obi spirit and Yoda of dagobah's utilities without spending as much of their build on them. I don't disagree that some people will find it useful, but I don't think that I will ever use him in Rebel squads.

In New republic squads, this is the answer to a lot of prayers for a lot of competitive needs. Luke, GMLS might not be the obvious haunt because he has force renewal 1 already, but I think it will be huge once people realize the importance of that mettle, and the ability to spend yoda's force points. Even when Luke GMLS is not involved, Yoda FS will now make sure that almost everyone in the New Republic will have as many FP's as they ever need. All of the fringe force users (jarael/zuckuss/etcetera) and secondary force users in the faction (Kyp/Jaina/Wolf/Corran) all got a very good boost because they were not the ones you would generally haunt with Luke (Kyle/Mara) but can now benefit from Yoda's awesome CE and FP even when they are not the haunted.

To finish, IMHO (for my squads at least) Yoda, Force spirit will not replace Yoda Dagobah.

I see what you mean.
I never really ran YoD just because of cost, I would rather have some shooters in his place, ya know. But I will give YoD 1 thing, he is a nuisance, and very effective if played right.

yoda fs only has fr1 so even after six rounds he only at 6 force points, for his friends to use: while yoda of d would be at 18 or so, plus he can stun and force spirit 6 is a nice feature, even though yoda fs give fr1 and mettle, one felucian with a roll of 11 or higher could ko him. both are good in different places.

Yoda FS would be the one making the save roll if a Felucian tried to defeat him. He would be able to re-roll the save if he had a FP at the time.

I am curious if the Anakin FS will also have force points of his own (less renewal and the CE). I rather doubt it. Speed 6 seems much more likely.

IMHO Yoda FS is a bit overcosted. Just imagine HoloSid is 11 pts only...

Keep in mind that Holo Sid can be attacked. He's far easier to eliminate than this Ghost. You either kill the person he is haunting or waste an attack by spending a FP to banish him.

Or (on average) 4 FP. Because with a reroll, Yoda will usually make that save.

At least makes an interesting Leia Organa, Senator/Yoda FS combo :)
