For the discussion for fun play especially sealed camping is not ok. It isn't even enjoyable to play because there is no strategy in that kind a game.

For tournament play especially constructed where both parties have access to all pieces then its part of the game and is ok even though I don't like it, and even though I have done it and still don't like it.


I have a suggestion for this sealed play event.

Make single space doors have 40 hps with a def of 10. You can shoot them or hack them. When they hit zero they fall.
Make double spaced doors have 80 hps with a def of 12.
Triple space door have hps of 120 and def of 14
etc
with max hps on doors 200 and max def 18.

This will not only make some of the override vs non-door control go away but add a new level of thought on door strategy. At least for this fun type of event.

I think the basic ideas are:
If you are in a constructed tourney versus an equal or higher caliber player, they won't show up without door control. Face it, it's part of the game.

If you are in a constructed tourney versus a newer player and they just don't know or forgot about door control, hey, if you can't beat them fairly then you didn't deserve the win anyway. Be thoughtful and help them understand how door control works and how it affects game play and squad design.

Sealed tourneys, well, you get what you get. How you play it reflects your attitude towards the game and other players.

Also for sealed, it's a bit tougher as most players won't have door control. It can definitely change the game for sure, as I played against an R7 in our sealed tournament a while back. I had to split my squad to get past the override, but in the end I still won. (that was on the Train map though)
