Ok guys so pre registration for tickets is now open.
At this point it is very important that if you are going and can buy these tickets.
Space is at a premium this year for miniatures and strong numbers will help us get space. So if you are reading this and thinking of prebuying tickets by all means please do.
Also Judges:

i am considering attending but not sure how to go about it. is it easier to buy admission tickets online or at the site? if i want to play minis what steps do i need to take to participate? is there other things to do other than play games,as in vendors, companies that make games, etc, etc? since this would be my first gencon what would you suggest to bring as far as minis? i have a ton and dont think it would be to good of an idea to lug 4 or 5 containers full of sw minis around indy.

Ohh questions!
Last year I went for the first time and didn't pre-order my tickets. It was a nightmare of waiting in this line, waiting in that line. I must have spent 4 hours on Wednesday waiting in lines. Pre-Order everything! much easier, can just pick it up at the door when you get there. If you want to play minis, look up the SWM events on the GenCon event catalogue, available at their website, and register your tickets online (you pick them up when you get your badge on wednesday) Other than the ~8000 events going on that weekend, there is a massive dealer's hall, with lots of vendors, artists and gamecompanies showcasing their work. There is also 'meet famous people time' and usually game companis or famous people will have some Q&A times scheduled. Only bring the minis you want to play! (or Trade) Last year I lugged every mini, map and card I had with me to GC.. that was a mistake! Once you've figured out your events, only bring one squad for each event, plus possible reserves/reinforcements. And always double check that you have everything you need prior to leaving.
As a note, I have now pre-ordered my badge and event tickets.
