I would assume that if this were to happen, it would be more toward the end of their selling liscense (Aug) and would make sense to do it right after GenCon or Celebration V as it would give them the most time to sell their boosters at full price.

Second it probably wouldn't be available to the public but only to the Distributors they work with so unless your LGS has a really cool Distributor that passes all savings on, the best that us common folk could probably hope for is something like a 25% discount so cases for around $80. This info is all best guess and speculation. Hopefully I am wrong and we get some great deals.

I wouldn't hold my breath, there are still tons of boosters and cases out there that distributors have paid full price for, I could see a small discount but I imagine it will be some time before we see a significant fall in retail price.

From what I understood it only applied to retailers (Buy 1 Case Get 1 Case Free) and not to the public. So the retailers probably wouldn't sell the boosters at BOGO but may possibly reduce price slightly to make sure they can move the product. I do agree with urbanjedi that it would probably be more towards when the license ends and not automatically.

Not around here - I did a price check yesterday at Target. Still 15 bucks.

I picked up 2 Force Unleashed boosters for about £7.50 each. Normally they are £14, so I was happy. Although my pulls were pretty lame, except for Loda, an Amanin Scout thing and a Raxus Prime trooper.

The Target I hit up in Cincy had them still for $15...but I did get an extra Dass while testing to see if they were $15. So my test both failed and succeeded, lol.

From my understanding Wizards has to sell all their stock before their license runs out which is the end May I think. So There should be a ton of boosters hitting retailers next month at rock bottom prices. I am holding off on purchasing any cases until at least then. I"m sure there will be some awesome deals at gen con too for this reason. But probably some great deals before then too. It seems the online retailer I usually buy from is keeping a lower stock on the new set in anticipation of this.

The answer is a resounding, "yes" and "of course they are". WotC as a company cannot sell SWs product after May. They are moving product to their distributors at a buy 1 case, get 3 free price, which may or may not get passed on to stores, and then to players.

I am going to talk to my local comic shop and see what is going on. Also, I am headed to my local Target too in hopes of some reduced prices. :)

I was on a quiet jaunt through the badlands of New Mexico the other day when I happened upon a large truck parked off behind a sand dune. Of course this was strange as I was considerably far from the highway. I expected to find the driver dealing with a flat tire or broken radiator, however, to my surprise, I observed two dust covered men quickly attempting to finish some task.

From my perspective, it appeared they were burying something, as one man was at the truck's back, throwing boxes to other, who then dropped them into a deep hole and quickly covered them in sand. One of them was complaining about the obviously menial task, and the other replied with something along the lines of "eating this dust all day."

I attempted to gain a better vantage point, but as I came closer I startled a horned lizard that went scurrying away past the gent who was shoveling dirt. He looked up, saw me and blurted out to his co-worker. "Cheese it!"

The one worker jumped from the back of the truck, ran to the cab and started the engine. The other guy scrambled from the hole, failing on his first attempt and getting dirt all over himself. I just watched as the comical duo made their exit, boxes tumbling from the rear of the truck as it plowed through the New Mexico wasteland, kicked-up dust covering their less-than furtive escape.

I made my way toward the half covered hole, my interest suddenly peaked. There in the sand and dirt lay hundreds of Star Wars miniatures booster cases! I couldn't believe my eyes. GaW, CotF, RS, every booster you could imagine. Even the never released Heroes of Yavin booster! I turned to run back to my hatchback in hopes of filling it to the brim with booster cases. But as I crested a hill, the parking lot in my sights, dozens of police and military vehicles suddenly appeared on the horizon.

Men in hazmat suits burst from unmarked black vans and rushed me to a decontaminating chamber they hastily set up. Men in dark suits and sun glasses were talking into wrist cuff communicators, FBI men were arguing with local police over who "was in charge here!" Someone said they located "Target: Rob". They asked me all about GenCon, and V-Sets. Interrogated me all about my local meta and what a "Speedy Cannon" was. Of course, I was little to no help.

It was all overwhelming. They ushered me away, telling me to forget the whole thing. That what I saw that day was only a mirage or some swamp gas or whatever. But I know what I saw. And I pass my story onto you! Somewhere in the deserts of New Mexico, WoTC has dumped all of their booster cases! Possibly next to the site where they buried all of those E.T.: The Extraterrestrial game from the early 80's. Believe!
