After just agreeing to the largest trade I've ever done, I was wondering what your largest trades have been. You can list by number of minis or by cost.

The trade mentioned finalized at about 180 minis exchanging hands (around 120 one way and 60 the other). Not even sure what the final cost of each side was, but it has to be around $125 or so. (it was mostly Cs & UCs)

The closest comparable trades I can think of were one where I shipped around 65 minis including an unopened CW starter, another in the 30-40 range, and a couple more around 20 pieces. Usually just a small assortment of VR/R and then UC/C filler.

I can't recall any that would top that dollar amount. I think the most expensive single piece (at the time) I've ever traded was Jango Fett, BH when he was going for around $50 on the secondary market.

On the opposite end I once traded 3 Knobby Whites and Ponda Baba for RS Chewie and some scrubs. The other guy and I had lots of laughs over that one. BigGrin

Sad I'll never understand why someone would do that over little plastic army men. ThumbDown

Sorry to hear about that. I've been waiting for a certain member to send me some stuff for over a month now. Maybe almost 2 months, I can't even remember. I sent quite a while ago, but at least he still responds to bloomails...you know, hospital, the weather, etc. I'm not sure when I should give up.

Anyways, on topic, the largest trade I did was also the dumbest one. I traded 2 Scout Troopers on Speeder Bike, an ARC Trooper, and a Gungan Cavalry for Nihlus, Exar Kun, and some other Sith pieces. I later pulled everything I had traded for in boosters.

I did buy a friend's collection (around 700 minis) when he quit though, that was a fun day compiling everything together. : )

Back before the 40 piece sets (hurt the games secondary market value)...

I would buy collections, break them apart and keep just a few pieces. Collectible games are "free" to play.

The one I have just sent. 16 R's and 1 or 2 VR's plus about 70 C/UC. not sure of value but would guess at about £140 give or take a few pounds. This is to someone I have been trading with for some time so am not expecting any problems with not getting my items from him.

I think the biggest problem (might not be for those of you not in England) is customs tax. So when i get my items from him which probably about the same in cost, i can ask him to put a lower value on the package so i do not have to pay a huge amount in customs tax which means the item is not insured or have the item insured but pay the tax. Personally i will never send or receive/except such a large amount (in cost value) again.Unsure

I purchased over 1,000 minis from a friend when our LGS shut down and It included 35-50 Very Rares and over 100 Rares. I got this all for around $200.

I remember taking half of the Very Rares and around 20 Rares and handfuls of Commons and Uncommons everything worth something good and turned around and sold everything a little over $200 so I made a profit and had a ton of minis for free including figures like Aurra Sing Clone Strike, handful of Sith Lords, and some other chase figures.

The guy who purchased still got a great deal having a ton of great figures for a great price!

It all worked out for everyone!
