Read the book adaptation just for the Palp vs the 4 masters fight. It's so much better than what we get to see in the movies. Kit fans would be much more impressed with his death.

Well, that's not going to happen as long as Lucas is alive; and considering how much money good ol' George has, he'll find ways to stay around as long as possible.

Sincerely,
Jester007

Just before he dies he will obviously be frozen in Carbonite until a cure to death is found.

I seem to be having trouble CONTROLLING THE VOLUME OF MY VOICE. Can't remember the movie but that's the first thing I thought of.

Almost as good as Yoda walking into Palpatine's office in Episode 3 and just Force Shrugs the two Guards up against the wall. Now that was classic...

And another classic move: same exact scene, only Mas Amedda makes a "Cloaked" exit right before the fireworks start. Nice.

Haha, that was great, He just walks in, the guards cross their staffs, and Bam! Then Mas knows its go time. Very urgent business, have to leave Palps to chat with his "little green friend"

Why didn't Yoda go with Mace to arrest him the first time? Just underestimated him? If Yoda basically fought him to a draw and Mace defeated Palpatine (only lost when Anakin intervened), the two of the them together shouldn't have had much trouble at all.

Ummm Yoda was a few thousand light years with the Wookies.

The question why would 4 Jedi Masters not bring more with them. Why did they not bring a couple of Clone Commanders and Senators? The more witnesses the harder the cover up would have been for Palps.

Why not bring Anakin with the 4 masters???? After all: Ani turned in Palps. Oh well, plot holes so big you could fly a death star through them, and the movies are still good to watch.

Well I always figured the reason no Ani, was because they knew of his link to palps, also this builds up another level of distrust for Ani of the Jedi and proves they are corrupt and trying to overtake the republic.

Mace specifically states in the movie why Anakin was to stay in the temple...and yes, it was because of his link to Palpatine. And look what happened when Anakin showed up...
(now, things might have been different if Anakin witnessed Palp killing the 3 other Jedi...but it's history now)

what RotS showed to me was that the Jedi had started to become "to big for their boots", that they had an arrogance (think Yoda even states this), and started to make lots of mistakes, the handling of Anakin being one of them.

The first answer about yoda seems reasonable to me, he drops off because he knows that fighting palps again would only prove the Jedi were after him. Plus I guess getting to Palps a second time was going to be tough, Palps has an army, a new powerful apprentice in Vader, etc. Yoda maybe figures he should listen to his teachings and have patience and believe that things will become opportune again..
