First of I want to thank Dean Miller for the great maps we played this on. Ok, my son Isaac and I put our heads together and worked out a fun format: Destory the Holocron. We used 500pt squads(faction pure), so I guess it was kind of a mini mass battle. We restricted unique characters to 2 each. Because he's only 10, Isaac can sometimes find high point games confusing, so we simplified it. We began with an initiative roll, and from then on took turn moving 2 pieces each. There were no rounds, and it didn't matter how often an individual piece was activated (although our rule was no more than 2 turns in a row for the same piece). So for example, my Darth Malak DLOTS never activated, therefore he gained no FPs. Each army had a Holocron to defend (represented by two d4 dice). You could either win by destroying the other squad, or directly attacking their Holocron (defence of 1). Because there were no rounds abilities such as Cunning Attack, Opportunist, Inuition, Surprise Move etc, had no effect. Isaac's Republic army was led by General Obi-Wan Kenobi and Grand Master Yoda, and my Sith army was commanded by Darth Revan and Darth Malak, DLOTS. Here's some pictures of out battle (hope the link works): Mass BattleWe spent two hours playing this, and the Sith were victorious, with Darth Revan leading a daring strike team to destroy the Republic Holocron!

Hey Mex! We never seem to catch up anymore. Kylie's arm is all healed. She was fortunate enough to avoid any permanent damage. Thanx for asking And yeah, the game was really fun

I have literally been thinking about this format all day at work. I'm gonna have to give it a try. I love the idea of not having rounds, so if something goes down at one end of the map you guys can sort of battle it out there and get back to the rest of your armies later.
