If casual players are going to unite, we're just going to have to go else where. I don't think the tournament players are concerned with fixing a large and equally important version of the game.

FWIW, I (as a member of the Balance Team) have copied this card and posted it in our Mouse Droid discussion topic. I'm only one person so I can't and won't promise anything...but believe it or not, we are listening. And very active.

I'm fine with being casual, but as I am stationed in Korea, I don't have much of a choice.

Fair enough, I totally missed his post. Its good to know there is some push towards fixing this.

let me add a disclaimer here: I am not on the balance team and have no idea what is being discussed and have no real proof that any changes will be made, But I do believe that he did what he said, and that they are at the very least discussing possible changes.

Yup, the Mouse card was posted in the balance team - I've actually appreciated people's ideas about the Mouse Droid issue as I personally think it's the most difficult of the 8-10 issues that we currently have on the table.
I'd definitely be interested in seeing playtest results with 3 point Mouse Droids and the various ideas that have been suggested - not blocking movement, not providing cover, not counting as the nearest target unless adjacent.

as long as the discussion is secret, and far from our ignorant eyes, we have no idea what's going on. the powers that be will decide what's best for us.
I really don't give a sh!t anymore. tired of waiting for changes that should have happened months ago.

jak wrote:R U serious? just make the change on that f-ing droid that the majority wants! I think to not conduct play tests for this particular change would be foolish. The tough choice is the "doesn't count as the closest target" option. Legends did not adopt that part in their rules changes for a reason. If the balance team does look at that option it will definitely need play testing. Unfortunately these changes can't simply be mandated through a majority vote.

This community-driven project is so secretive. To be fair, i understand the reason for some of the Secrecy. IF there wasn't some of the Locked threads and groups we would have everyone and their mother Chiming in on a conversation, and that would dilute what is going on. When you are trying to have a conversation with the balance team about how to fix this piece or that and every person keeps chiming in about their own NPE it kind of gets frustrating. I am not saying that everything should be done behind the scenes i am just giving my point of view on the problem.

I remember back when the V-set precursors, The Lost Twenty, were almost scrapped when a mod came in and merged every single thread about them into one big mess.
