Yesterday, my LGS owner informed me he received Wizards summer 2010 catalog that covers May-August and there wasn't a single item on it about Star Wars Miniatures or RPG. Should we be worried Wizards is pulling it after the next couple sets?

No. Reps are getting contracts for this year from WoTC to represent them again. We are good for at least 2010 ThumbsUp

Well if we are geting three sets next year as per normal, two of the sets are already slated for the first 4 months of 2010. The last set would come at the end of the year in October/November more than likely.

One thing that I think is very important is that as patrons of the game we need to support WoTC. Instead of sending mouthy letters or forum bashing them at every turn we need to be better customers. If we harass their staff or make it seem as we are unappreciative of their product then they might find it easier to just end the game. Sometimes sales are weighed against overhead for customer support.

We do support WOTC with our pocketbooks, and that's all that really matters. Wizards ultimately isn't out to please its gamers, they are out to make money. We can bash 'em all we want, but if we keep buying SWM like we all do, they will probably be fine.

Except is generally isn't WotC you reach with your "bash". Its other gamers who you turn off from the game because they hop on the forums and all they see are it's players saying, this sucks and that sucks, etc. Its jsut not worth it or good for anyone in the long run.

There are respectful ways to make critiques of decisions and so on, and that I will always support. Micky is spot on in this one.

There will be no forum bashing here, such baiting will be edited out. Again, please keep the forums clean

I dont really feel we are talking about forum bashing in this case.

People have become discouraged by some of Wizards of the Coast practices. LEts be honest things have not been the best for Star Wars support from wizards. Does that mean the end og the game??? I dont think so but I think the company has made a few decisions about the game that are becoming painfully evident.

We used to wish for more support now we are wishing for any.

Lets look at the tally right now.

No more promos
Lost the original game designer
Lost and have not replaced the brand manager or asst brand manager
the forums were "upgraded" and star wars kind of got the boot.

So right now of course things look down. It would be hard not to argue with someone who is being negative about it. But we need to remember the one thing that has always been true about this game more than other games. Our Community is the best gaming community in any game. We have had a huge influence on this game and need to continue to do so.

We need at this time especially be activeand make purchases. Show Wizards that we want this game beyond 2010 and they need to listen. That is what we can do. If they choose to get rid of it then we will have to live with it.

If wizards quits carrying the game will that be the end??? No. Look at Star Wars CCG it is still going strong because of the community. I know at Gamers (I realize some of you dont care for it) we are prepared to take over sanctioning events if that happens so folks can keep playing nationwide. It will be a big undertaking but I have faith in our community to keep the fun alive.

Enjoy the now of the game. That is what Yoda would tell us to do. Keep you mind where you are and what you are doing now. Play the game and spread the enjoyment.... grow the game!!!!

The Problem is WOTC don´t need SWM because they deal tons of money with MTG.
My seller told me that the sales volume is bigger than ever worldwide at the moment.
I think we are on the right way.

SWM is Obi Wan Kenobi standing with eyes shut and saber raised on the death star. In one fel swoop it shall be cut into oblivion...

I say if they DO plan on axing the game- they let us design the last set as a farewell gift. Lest we never get the Porkins we deserve
