Over the past two years, almost three now, I have been enjoying this awesome game. When I first got involved, my buddy showed me how to play and we just made up squads using a calculator and paper. (ancient I know) Now we have these great sites that keep track of everything for you. How times have changed in such a short time.

My question to you all is listed above: Would the SWM game be better with or without sites like BlooMilk? What I mean is, do you think players are helped or hindered by relying on websites, instead of their own knowledge of the actual cards, rules, etc.

Please post why you think the way you do. And enjoy the game! BlooMilk

At first it was great, then it got better, and better! Just when I thought it couldn't get any better it went way, and I mean WAY, down hill.

I'm Ruhk, and I approve of this site, but I don't approve of the recent actions in the forums.

In my experience, SWM has become more playable because I was able to go back and look up older sets to see what I had missed. I was also able to find out what minis were good to play with and it is just so much easier to keep with what minis I have thanks to Bloo Milk. If Magic would've had sited like Bloo Milk and SWMGamers, I would probably still be playing it. So I would like to give a hats off to all of the staffs OF Bloo Milk and SWMGamers for everything.

Even just ignoring the forums, this is still a great resource. Shinja works hard to make it one of the, if not the best, minis database available. Not to spoil too much, I do hope to make this site a bit better in terms of content.

compared to the other mini sites out there, bloomilk is by far the best.

This site is one of the best resources for Star Wars Minis. A year ago I started using swshoebox but more and more I've gotten to appreciate Bloomilk. It has a great squad builder and a section that doesn't just show character stats but also the input of other players.

Without squad building software, I probably would have given up on using new pieces a long time ago. It is way too hard to track so many hundreds of characters with what they can do and synergy options, etc. Plus, trading would be too frustrating for many players to read through countless threads trying to find matches. I enjoy having the various websites as resources - the netbook is a whole lot lighter to carry than all the rules inserts and cards. Wink

The forums are nice for communication, but like any communication online, it is difficult to get your body language and tone of voice across and tempers often flare. That's just part of the culture in which we live. ("Perhaps one day, even these things will be pleasant to remember" - Virgil) I think the positives of these kinds of websites far outweigh the negatives.

I totally agree. When I got a new system last year that was unable to run Chuck's Minimanager (Vista 64 bit) I ported everything over onto BlooMilk. The cataloging, squad building, and character searching features alone make this an indispensible site for me.

I was just starting to post more often in the forums when everything went south. While I'm happy with the control Shinja and the mods are exerting over the forums and have every confidence in them, it's still ultimately up to us as posters to move forward. Lets not take any steps backward, okay?

I think this site is an awesome resource. And as WotC decides to push our game further and further to the sidelines, every fan based site becomes so much more important. Between this site and SWMGamers, I think it has been shown that the company site is sorely lacking.

There will always be issues on faceless forums, always, any and everywhere, it is just something we have to get over, regardless of how passionate we are about the game and how much we disagree with other players.

Wotc is indeed sorely lackingConfused , It was there that I was pointed here by another poster, This site in an excellent resource and I have a lot of fun coming here and building squads and interacting with the other people here. Thank you to shinja and the Mod's for all your hard work here! ThumbsUp Also to those of you in our community who have helped me out! BigGrin

The game has grown to the point that I don't think I could keep track of all the pieces and rules without a resource like Bloomilk (and the other sites too).

Sites like Bloo really help players that live in areas without a strong local group of players, and for that matter those that do. Bloomilk in particular is very close to (and soon could be if things keep moving in the right direction) a one-stop shop for all things Star Wars Minis. Not taking anything away from Gamers or any other site, but Shinja certainly has fit a lot of cool stuff under one roof here ThumpUp

Plain and simple: the site rocks. Not all the forum members do. BlooMilk is invaluable as a resource, whether it be ratings, prices, squads, etc. The forums are invaluable for trades (this site is one of, if not the best, for trading). It's all in all incredible, we members just have to keep ourselves in line.

As much as I wish everything was centrallized and all the players were on one site, wotc seems to put this game at the back of their efforts most of the time. Thanks to sites like this the game is THRIVING and it reminds me of how the boards used to be back at wizards before the empire, before the dark times. Haha. This site is also useful to those that, unlike myself, can't retain all the miniature stats and pieces and needs help. So all in all this site has helped the game.

without the sites my friends and I would have to rely upon OUR interpretation of the rules. and nobody wants that. also the squad builder is an awesome resource.

i Heart bloomilk. the wizos forums are too awkward for me to maneuver and i dont feel like having to go through several pages just to find what i want. bloomilk has the message boards the collection list, the squad builder. i go to wizos every so often to see if they have any previews or official updates and i go to swmgamers for previews and set reviews but bloomilk is my absolutel fav
