What is everyone's favorite movie, or as the title suggests, a good movie you've seen?

While I have too many movies to pin down a favorite, a good movie I've seen recently is "The Man From Earth". It's about a professor who reveals to his colleagues that he's an immortal caveman. There's no real action or special effects, but it's excellent storytelling that just sucks you in.
For those of you with netflix, boot it up on instant queue and be entertained.

The best individual movie I've ever seen is ET, no contest. The best sequel is a tie between Godfather part 2 and the Empire Strikes Back. The best franchise is Star Wars ( Duh...) The best movie I've seen in a VERY long time is Avatar.

I have a top 5 films that are all too good to choose a best one from:
Shawshank Redemption Heat Fallen The Green Mile The Kingdom.
The Star Wars Trilogy is obviously amazing, but I keep it on its own. Empire Strikes Back is without a doubt the best Star Wars film though.

Oh man my favorite past time--watching good movies For me Star Wars--all of them Lord of the Rings trilogy I'd love to see The Hobbit made into a movie. I thought Peter Jackson was supposed to do one shortly after LOTR came out but for some reason it never happened. I'd also love to see more Star Wars movies. I'm all for another trilogy before I die

Avatar in 3D was an absolutely amazing and immersive movie experience. I recommend it to anyone who likes to be fully engrossed in the movie they're watching. The plot has been done before, but never with this much finesse and wonderment. Two thumbs up from me!
