Bodyguard is very powerfull ability that i think isnt used as often as it should be. I have to vote for Visas Marr, without her Atton would suffer greatly.

Human Bodyguard. He's exactly what you want: 11 points for cheap meat and nothing else. Since he's Fringe, he can take the bullet for anyone.

Definitly the Bodyguard droid, since ROTS this guy has babysat my separatist commanders and heavy guns. With all the heavy repair options these guys have excellent staying power, they look awesome, and have solid stats to protect themselves

For Rebel and Republic squads he's going to be a key BG.

I'm somewhat torn between the "bodyguard" that is Human BG and Chewie but went with the guy whos only real purpose is to "take on for the team" or even "take two" if you're fortunate. With Chewie and the others you are getting something else which may take away from the role of bodyguard.

I'll also say you can NOT count Ferus Olin as he only bodyguards certain types of people. If you include him then you should include all the Imperial Bodyguards and other pieces that grant bodyguard in the discussion as well.

Depends on the build. Overall, I'd say Ferus or Chewy RH, but if you just have a few points left, and you need to cover commanders, the the Human BG is the way to go.

Ferus Bueller I mean Olin.

I mean with him Gowk just got to 220 hp..... uggggghhh!!!!! HArd to beat that.

Of course for fun you could have like Han Scoundrel (with FP) or a Luke with Chewie RH and Ferus next to him. But knowing my luck I would get missled to death anyways.

She has a nice mix of stats/abilities too. Stealth makes it harder for shooters to take her out first. I like that if an enemy bases your character (but not her) she can reach over and smack it. Won't happen much, but still cool.

Great sculpt, I must get the promo red one Drool

I used to have the Promo red one. Got it from Boris a while back. Man, I wish I still had it. Looked great in the collection.

@StevenO - If you want to include specialized BGs, go for it. Ferus is still top dog. The new Imperial Sovereign Protector is nice, but he's not needed to guard a piece like Palps on the Throne. Maybe Sith Lord Palpatine, but that's about it. Also, Ferus brings quite a lot to the table. He's not just a BG. That's what is going to make him so popular.

As for other specialized BGs, you basically have Guri (for Prince Xizor only) and the Noghri for Thrawn. Guri's problem is her cost. I think if she were 5 points less or had Twin instead of Double, she'd be a solid option. That said, she can only BG Universe Prince Xizor. She's limited in her BG role. Ferus can BG ANYBODY with a force rating.

If you throw open the gates for anyone who can prevent damage to an adjacent character I'd throw the Gungan Shieldbearer into the mix. Sure it's only good against Ranged attacks and only works half the time but it can prevent as much or more damage than most bodyguards and give it right back to the attacker at the same time.

But we are talking BGs....I simply included specialized ones, since that was your complaint about Ferus.
