ive never had a problem with boba BH. for me its always been GOWK and any other pieces that can cause multiple saves to avoid/return damage

i have one Q: why is GOWK up there? hes a banned piece, so why should people fear him?

anyways, IMO i think the most feared mini is...:

Palps on Throne

seriously, 33 points, renewal 3, evade?! thats CRAZY. sure theres ways to kill that 130 HP (though its a HARD task plus he has 21 def.) and he has emplacement but im 99% sure youre not going to be killing him in the first 2 rounds. in the meantime palps can sendout VAU, vader un., nightsisters/disciples (whatever the squad is) to completely OBLITERATE you (lol) since id be an auto-dmg swarm squad...now THATS something to fear ;)

GOWK is back with the change to Soresu Style Mastery only affecting non-melee attacks.




Anywho, the most feared mini for me has to be YoBuck. He eliminates the viability of entire squads and can easy defeat many solid teams, meta or otherwise.

so they switched his soresu style mastwery for normal soresu stlye (basiclly)?

never heard that before; but now that i do hes now still pretty good but beatable (ex. darth bane :P:P:P)

i still say PoT, Yobuck can get easily beaten thru certain AoO caracters and riposte characters ;)

Boba Fett Bounty Hunter.
The piece puts the fear of god in a man.
The room gets quiet when its his turn to attack.......
Next thing you know, You are cursing that piece out in your head because HE GOT LUCKY.

Lord Vader i have people mad at me when i run him with thrawn cause he can kill just about anybody in one activation. He's also incedibly fast for a melee character cause he gets all his attacks after moving 6 squares.

Boba, BH gets my vote as well. I had a friend build an entire squad based around killing him, and he still couldn't do it(Vader, LotF got Big D'd...).

Generally speaking, Boba Fett Bounty Hunter is generally the most feared, not because of what he is, his stats and most of his abilitys are fine for a figure that can only do 40 damage by himself. Just Disintergration is one of those abilitys that gives a terrifying sense of eventrallalty that no other figure has. A 20 is dangerous to most figures, but instant death is just something that can't be countered.

It may not happen that round, but the simple possiblity of it has most players sweating, prefect for the ultimate bounty hunter in many peoples eyes, even though the newer ones can easily do a generally better job in raw damage and have other unique abilitys, Boba just has the fear factor advantage that most figures don't have by themselves. I can see a Vader, GM Luke and others and not really flinch. But Boba makes everyone at least think and priotise him as a target.



A worthy mention for me is Durge Bounty Hunter, as he is simply a tank that can blow up Jedi with ease. One of my hardest matches came down to GOWK vs Durge, myself struggling to make saves against him and two other minons and being shot at by someone else's droids after being betrayed in a 3-way by a losing ally. Even if I use GOWK, Durge is one piece that makes me sweat a little. Easpically if I use Jedi of any kind.

Though that being said, the betrayee used Durge later on and I used a Republic squad with a mix of the newer Captain Rex, a Senate commando and Arygos and a pair of stealth clones along other things. Durge was pretty much the first to die after killing a R2 unit. XD


The other one is probably the orignal Captain Rex, he is a very solid 4 hitter. While he's definately defeatable, chasing him down is a tough challange and probably one of the reasons why melee is not really as catchy as it once was, newer players look at a beatstick, look at Dash and Rex that can deal damage reguardless where they stand and they hold their hands up high. XD

I killed Boba BH by basing him with Mara Jade, Jedi and using Lightsaber Assault. Killed him in one turn. =D
