Wasn't a good day for SquelchDog yesterday. Our 12 year old Boxer's heart gave out on her. Her name was Leia. We got her when she was 8 week's old over in Germany. Her and my son have grown up together. Only 2 years apart and they were best buddies. Leia, aka Brown-ness and Droopy-Girl I have had many dog's over the year's but she was by far the best ever. We are really gonna miss her.

Sorry to hear that Boxers are wonderful dogs, and in my experience are great with kids. I had a Great Uncle who had a boxer named Babe. My uncle would pretend to hit us kids (like slap us on the knee or something) and Babe would get all defensive and start barking like crazy at him. She was a good protector, and memories of the two of them always bring a smile to my face. Best wishes during a sad time

Thanks guy's. "Boxers are wonderful dogs, and in my experience are great with kids." Oh ya they are! No doubt! Very protective and awesome with children. We will get another one eventually, but we need to wait a little while.

I feel for you man I really do. Two years ago my Spaniel died. I grew up with her, from 4 to 18. Man, it's just not the same going home without her there.
Best wishes man, chin up.

Before our Guinee Pig died (which was really my sister's), she got to play with him the night before he died. I just dont get it. He was fine. Then it happened.

So sorry John....I know it is tough losing a member of the family, and pets are members of your family. My thoughts are with you and your family. Another Dog should be in your future, but you are smart waiting a short while at least. Good luck my friend.

We've had a lot of fun with her over the year's.

Thought I'd throw one more picture up here to share with everyone. Leia and Jessy. Jessy has taken this pretty hard to. She now sleeps in all of Leia's old napping spot's. One funny memory we have of Leia is the awful smelling fart's she would let loose! Man they were horrible. She could clear a room with one of her silent but deadly fart's.
