hey guys

wondering what would be the ONE fig that you could choose to be in your squad; regardless of faction...also, let me explain my choices...

to start things off; i disregarded jedi BC every faction has jedi one way or the other, and if not, then theres always fringe

i basically chose one of every top tier fig of each commander, ex. holosid grants FR 1 to all allies within 6, thrawn makes 1/2 of all imp squads broken (im exaggerating), etc. etc.

now for the choices...:

1. Mandalore the Ultimate - a strange choice, but who knows, someone might be able to manipulate the Mandalorian Conscription...

2. General Rieekan - Grants Evade and Mobile to all ALLIES. who doesnt like that?

3. General Dodonna - heard that its the 2nd most played unique...also the #1 activation control fig.

4. Mas Ammeda - the 1st most played fig, booming voice is just messed up... in the right squad, it could be nasty.

5. Thrawn (IE) - Much better than the old thrawn IMO, and IMO the #1 commander.

6. Palpatine on Trhone - #1 Force Battery (even though there are only two...)...the republic really needs this figure.

7. Darth Sidious Hologram - Grants FR 1 to allies within 6. paired with republic jedi or even normal troopers could be deadly.

8. R2-D2, Astromech Droid - The #1 movement breaker of the game. Tow Cable has always been used since day #1 (since RotS came out ;) )

9. Jar Jar Binks - i just HAD to put him in here. many of you probably never played against/him...but if you have, you probably have either great or horrible memories of him (unless the dice gods are angry at you lol :P ).

who would you choose? i would choose proabaly holosid, bc he looks the coolest lol :P

Palp on Thawn.

For mandos, a Sith Lord like him would be extremely broken. Reroll evade saves and attack saves? Sounds exactly like something they would need. Most factions gain benifit from it, except droids, but including most living seps.

The best (read, broken) one of all is Rieekan followed by General Dodonna. Mas is brillent, but often the mouse droid is enough provided you can get one of the above into your squad.

For YV, nothing in the list would help as much as Han-STA and Ithorian Commander.

Heck, any melee-twin faction. New Fisto+Gen Sky+Han-STA anyone (move 12 twin momentum)?

R2 easily. In free-for-all type tournaments, virtually every squad uses 9 points for R2.

That would be because of the Imperial Military policy of Don't Ask, Don't Tell.

I would add either Mas or R2 to the OR.

They just need some form of help, relying on Mice takes away a lot of key positioning and lessens their damage output, and R2 would solve their lack of a movement breaker problem.

Overall though I just want a Vandare that adds Levitation 2 to the OR.

Grand Master Nomi Sunrider. Her Master of Battle Meditation force power that forces enemies within 6 squares of her to attack the nearest ally; save 11. Yeah, that's right, she was that good at meditating!

Palpatine on Throne, as a Sep player I already have all the boosts I need and most of those commanders don't help droids out. However it would be awesome to have a palpi/dooku lightning fest with maybe Asajj or Maul to play along.

Are people that desperate to get their command effects spread around without resorting to Mouse Droids? Three mice cost about the same as one Mas and should be able to cover a lot of the areas that need covering granted getting three mice may cost as many $$ as getting Mas.

My vote: General Rieekan. The NR may have a similiar piece in General Wedge but he doesn't help the commanders that Rieekan would. Moving on wouldn't every faction like to have such cheap and easy access to Mobile and Evade? Besides potentially being broken (doesn't he show up in most Rebel squads post IE?) my problem with Rieekan is that I don't have him.

i sy reieeken for the sith and mandos. i would love to get my sith pieces some more defensive abilities besides just using jolee bindo. mandos already benefit from mobile but giving evade to allies would be nice.

That is honestly the worst anti-Mas argument I have heard lol. Your reasoning is 3 mice cost the same as 1 Mas points and money wise? Each mouse costs the same as Mas lol. Mice run anywhere from 8-10 dollars on the low end, mas is 8 to maybe 10.

I would MUCH rather have a rangeless CE than have to lag mice around the board, makes getting two attacks of and still have your CEs is very hard to do when you have to rely on mice in the middle/late rounds.

If every faction had access to Rieekan I would stop playing this game. There are way to many games decided by Rieekan's prescence in builds than there should be.

Sith rely on lots of HP, OR relies on mostly fringe and Vong get annihilated by shooters. Putting Rieekan in would ruin the game balance of this game on an extreme level.

Next people will suggestevery faction needs a GOWK pre-ban lol....
