Just watching Return o' the Jedi and did anyone notice that Luke-o uses the good ol' fashion Force Choke on the two Gamorreans?! Haha... that's an extra one for the customs...

Almost as good as Yoda walking into Palpatine's office in Episode 3 and just Force Shrugs the two Guards up against the wall. Now that was classic...

And another classic move: same exact scene, only Mas Amedda makes a "Cloaked" exit right before the fireworks start. Nice.

Since they keep re-editing the OT, they might as well splice in Mas with the Dignitaries in Return of the Jedi, unless it's been stated in a novel or comic that he dies prior to that.

Maybe he realizes that that is not the correct path to walk. Think about it. If he killed Palpatine, he would still be a criminal in the eyes of the Republic, and if he tried to squash that public opinion he would become no better than Palpy.

Easy: it's in the script.
Seriously, Lucas needed to tie-in why Yoda ended up on Dagobah and Palpatine was still the Emporer. With the limited time, that was how he did it.

Why didn't Yoda go with Mace to arrest him the first time? Just underestimated him? If Yoda basically fought him to a draw and Mace defeated Palpatine (only lost when Anakin intervened), the two of the them together shouldn't have had much trouble at all.

Ummm Yoda was a few thousand light years with the Wookies.

The question why would 4 Jedi Masters not bring more with them. Why did they not bring a couple of Clone Commanders and Senators? The more witnesses the harder the cover up would have been for Palps.

I really didn't like how they killed off Kit Fisto in the movie. Kind of a bunch of crap how he didn't even draw his lightsaber. Come on!! Palpy had to leap across a desk to get at Mace and company. Could have made that sceen a little better. Oh well, damagre done, just got to move on.

What I'm wondering is what period the next series of movies will take place in; KotOR, NJO, Legacy, etc. No, I'm not saying I've heard rumors of new movies comming out. Just give enough time, and I'm sure someone will get the ball rolling.

What do you all think the next set of movies be set in if they get around making them?

Sincerely,
Jester007

Well Lucas was close to making a Shadow of the Empire movie, so I think that's the time period to look at. Of course, he's pushing Clone Wars heavily with the animated show, so perhaps a between-trilogies movie? But that's probably what the upcoming live-action show will be about.

Also, I think a lot of the non-sensical things involved with the new Trilogy - especially RotS - can be explained by the fact that Lucas had to constrain the story to fit with the OT. Yoda *had* to end up on Dagobah, and Palps *had* to end up Emperor, with almost all of the Jedi Masters dead. Killing 4 of them by himself, with a little help from Vader, would help the story along quite tremendously. So it's kind of a forced situation, which is a shame.

Considering that they haven't written Luke's death yet, I think that's the time period for the next movies.

Well, that's not going to happen as long as Lucas is alive; and considering how much money good ol' George has, he'll find ways to stay around as long as possible.

Sincerely,
Jester007
