Dantooine Report:

We broke off from Marshal Spry's fleet as we passed Dantooine. Landing strategy worked like a charm - the Corellian Legacy blasted past the enemy frigates before they could get their weapons online.

Combat strategy worked less well. Wedge Antilles coordinated a group of snowspeeders to take on the Separatist forces. Our brilliant pilots were good enough that they could maneuver easily within the hallways of the structure. The Squib Trader who has accompanied me on so many missions proved vital in equipping the snowspeeders with explosives to blast down the doors that stood in their way. Everything was going fine until the Separatists arrived.

Spider Droids. Heavily armored Dwarf Spider Droids. The blasters on our snowspeeders barely tickled them, while they sat and blasted us with salvo after salvo. However, we put up a bold fight with our speeders. Under the careful guidance of Wedge Antilles and two other pilots, the speeders raced in and out of sight, slowly whittling down the Separatists and wheeling back inside for repairs.

However, the squadron was taking more damage than it was dealing, and they also were simply unable to penetrate the shields of an advanced Destroyer Droid that had parked nearby. Thankfully, Wedge knew just what to do, and jumped into action. He had one of the speeders hover in place - a risky strategy, but well worth it. Wedge and a pilot assistant were able to refocus the speeder's blasters so well that they gunned down the Destroyer without much problem. From then on, though, the guns began to overheat, and became less and less accurate as the battle progressed. Bossk was also spotted on the battlefield, trying to take down a snowspeeder with his flamethrower.

However, it became clear that we were outgunned. We managed to hold out until the mysterious Jedi came out of hiding. She was escorted to the Corellian Legacy by the technical crew just as a fuming Savage Opress came roaring into the remains of Red Squadron. However, with the Jedi safe, we had no reason to continue the fight, and so Wedge - with slightly singed eyebrows and scorched uniform from the Spider Droids' missile pods - ordered an evacuation of the remaining forces.

I'd like to report that we recovered footage from the facility's old security cameras showing that Savage Opress spent the first few minutes of the battle sitting in the back working himself into a frenzy. Coming out just in time to see us escape, I'd hate to see what he did to Bossk and the remaining Spider Droids.

I'd also like to report that about half of the ammunition we used turned out to be blanks; numerous weapon failures caused the inconvenient survival of the Droids several times.

Overall, a successful mission. Another Jedi protected from the Separatists and ready to help our cause.

End Transmission.

Technical Report: My squad was this:

--Action with Valor - Campaign Round 4--
152 Rebel Snowspeeder x4
18 Wedge Antilles, Rogue Three
13 Human Engineer
11 Bothan Spymaster
10 Rebel Honor Guard
20 Snowspeeder Pilot x2
10 Squib Trader

(234pts. 11 activations)

Lafcadio ran:

--Savage Oppress's Savage Oppression and Co. aka: The Head-basher of Corellian Comedians V3--
42 Savage Oppress
37 Series II Destroyer Droid
25 Bossk, Bounty Hunter
63 A-DSD Advanced Dwarf Spider Droid x3
19 A-Series Assassin Droid
8 R7 Astromech Droid
5 Muun Guard

(199pts. 9 activations)

I should have built my squad entirely differently with what I was allocated, DR10 on his main attack force meant I spent most of the game shooting popguns at him and looking for cover. However, once I was able to position Wedge and the pilots correctly to combine fire, I started doing better, but my rolls started doing worse. I would have lost if the time hadn't run out, but as is, I won 112-110. When the round ended, Savage had just stormed gambit, and Wedge was in the back with 10 HP left, but no Uniques were lost.

Victory for the Rebels!

50 Defel Pirate x5
3 Mouse Droid

An elite strike team of BX droids had infiltrated an abandoned mandalorian base on Dxun, however the rebellion was alerted to their presence and sent their own contingent of operatives led by Luke Skywalker, Kyle Katarn, and Jan Ors. The force consisted of a hairy bunch of Wookiees and Defels.

Once the rebel force was sighted moving through the bushes outside the base, sniper/spotter teams split up and got into position. Before the rebellion even knew what was going on, Kyle, Jan, and a bothan noble lay dead outside the south entrance with bullets through their heads. Luke sensed the attack and moved out of the line of fire. At the north entrance, the rabble gathered but didn't make a move, aware now of the BX threat. The bulk of the snipers moved towards the front entrance to prevent a forward assault, while still maintaining a line of sight on the north door in case one of the scum tried to make a move.

Determined to finish off the Jedi, the snipers moved to make a sortie out the front gate. The defel were desperate however, and charged into the team covered in explosives. While a few droids were knocked out, it left the rebels vastly overwhelmed with just a wounded luke, a wookiee, a defel, and a mouse droid left to fight. Sensing their moment to strike was nigh, a sniper and spotter moved to strike at the south gate. The remaining wookiee charged the foremost sniper, but despite his momentum stumbled and missed his mark. Seeing this, and realizing it was the end of the line, Luke charged at the nearest sniper, turning it into a pile of metal, but it was all in vain as 2 more snipers opened fire, bringing him down. The wookiee covered Luke as the Defel dragged his body off the battlefield, and the Commando Droid Captain shot down the hairy beast.

Final Score: 216-52 In favour of the glorious CIS

Provost Marshal Spry reporting in from the Strike Force Carrier.

We have intercepted the enemy and have emerged from the field victorious.

A squad of SpecForce led by several Senior Generals including Madine, Ackbar, Dodonna, and Major Derlin boarded the Strike Force Carrier and took up positions on the right side of the map. They were greeted by Alto Stratus leading a large contingent of Muun Guards and the Colonel, plus the Red Hand Boss. 17 Muun Guards faced us today on the field of battle, but our technicians kept our weapons primed and firing on all solutions along with Crix' upgrades. General Dodonna remained in a make-shift Command Center dictating the tempo of the engagement while Ackbar provided firing solutions for the SpecForce Troops. When the smoke cleared all the Muun and their leaders had been defeated while Alto Stratus managed to get away in an escape pod. He was picked up by the Separatist Cruiser in orbit and whisked away to safety. The Trandoshans have agreed to stop trying to enslave Wookiees and try to help destabilize the Separatist Economy by backing away from the Slave Trade. In return they have been given a spot on the Rebel Command Council.

Final Score 201-46

Another glorious victory for the Rebellion.

My performance on the battle field has been inexcusable. However, our battle lead to a victory for the CIS on the Oderon front.

Darth Maim or myself will disclose the rest of the details later. A quick summary though:

A brave Geonisian Soldier surprised the menacing wookie hoard lead by the recently recruited Talon Karrde with a Sonic Weapon. Under the direction of San Hill, Count Dooku himself and Aurra Sing displayed their talents (even with Dooku under the force bubble) side by side fighting a gauntlet of charging wookies through a small corridor.

This victory should remind the Rebels exactly whom they are dealing with. Hopefully Talon Karrde realizes the mistake he's made before it's too late. Welcome to the cause Beast Riders!!

One unique was harmed, but none were killed in this battle.

With 3 victories under my belt, it was just a matter of time that lady luck would get fickle. My best roll of the night was the first, a nat 20, choosing the side of the map, and the rest of match was downhill for us, not being able to hit the backside of a barn. In fielding an all melee team, one hopes that Count Dooku, is in a mtg with his master Sidious, but there was no luck on this most unlucky day.

CIS
Count Dooku
Aurra Sing
San Hill
Wat Tambor
R7
Human Engineer
Reinforcements =Geonosian Sonic Canon

Rebs
Let the Wookiee Win
Talon Karrde
Wookiee Thug x5
Gamorrean Bodyguard
Human Engineer
Wookiee Commando x2
R7

1st Rd= The race to gambit begins. Here is where commander Maim, starts falling apart at the seams. The wookiees, not listening to their leader Karrde, bunch together at the entrance to the gambit room. Underestimating the G'cannon, it blasts the hoarde, splashing 20 on them all, the smell of burning fur, permeating the surrounding air. Stupid wookiees! Rebs get gambit, 10-0.

2nd Rd= Seps win initiative, followed by a stupid wookiee, not following Karrdes order to move up 6 squares, thus enabling G'cannon to blast horde again, damaging all again, killing the wookiee commando who didn't follow Karrde's order. 2 Wookie Thugs charged to destroy the 0 pt cannon, brought in through reinforcements. Aurra Sing , advances twinning one of the wookiees. Gamorrean comes to support wookiees. Dooku himself, moves in, crits the first strike, then strikes down the bodyguard with his second strike. "What" Tambor blasts wounded Wookiee Thug, dropping it in it's tracks. Rebs get gambit yet again. Seps=45 Rebd=20

3rd Rd= Wookiee Thug charges Aurra, almost killing her, somehow taking dmg from Dooku, who is just a fricking master of the lightsaber. Dooku, then slays the wookiee, of course, sending him to dance with his ancestors. As the commanders debate a game rule issue, time wastes, and before initiative could be rolled for 4th round, time ends. Rebs again score gambit. Final score 68-30, Seps prevail.

No uniques lost on either side.

Commander Maim out

Nonle Confederate Commanders,

First off let me congratulate those of you who were successful in your missions. Those of you that were not are no doubt in route to Coruscant now for... Upgrades... The Confederacy has no time to train and promote new members of the high command and so those who have been unsuccessful will be... Augmented...

As far as the Yavin mission goes my suspicions were correct. The Rebel commander Spry had deployed my rival to the moon of this system no doubt to determine if the rumours of our super weapon were true. I had grown tired of directing from the shadows and so I personally led Asajj Ventress and the bounty hunters Embo and Jango Fett under the watchful eye of our emperor Sidious's hologram. The rebels had been expecting our recon lancers or Chameleon droids and so a force composed of heroes were the last thing they were prepared for. To their credit the enemy fought hard and with skill. But unfortunately for them, I fought better. I have two new Lightsabers in my cape from two dead Jedi. This time Galen Marek did not escape me, and I slew the Jedi Ferus Olin when he and his ally General Kota attempted to corner me. As well Embo downed Roan Lands and I allowed the bounty hunter to bury him with Ferus. Their fringe "honour" of they enemy is something I ignore to have their services.
Though too it seems the Nightsister wench Ventress was weak and fell in combat against the combined forces of the Jedi. She is alive but wounded... Unfortunately...
Only General Kota again escaped my forces. To lose his padawan and fellow jedi in the same day must be driving the old man mad as he continued to draw on Sith rage but I easily parried his attacks. But nevertheless I the day is ours.

The final detail I had been informed of was that Darth Sidious had apparently orchestrated the jedi's escape. As he wishes for the enemy to know about our weapon as well as plans to draw Kota to the darkside. For it is now fully operational and the next phase of this war will involve the utilization of this weapon to destroy a series of Rebel strongholds in one system. Finish the round with honour and prepare for the endgame brothers...

Confederate victory

Vader's Apprentice Redeemed

Sorry for the slow battle report. Here it is:
(again, CorellianComedian's lies... REPORT, I mean! His report is in plain text, my corrections are in Parentheses/bolded)

Dantooine Report:

We broke off from Marshal Spry's fleet as we passed Dantooine. (Literally – they BROKE OFF! Their ship was flaming as it entered the atmosphere. A certain comedian must have forgotten to correctly detach from the airlock of Spry’s flagship. No wonder the Republic lost the war.) Landing strategy worked like a charm (Apparently his “landing strategy” was a crash-landing.) - the Corellian Legacy blasted past the enemy frigates before they could get their weapons online. (Eh, not quite. The recording from the Separatist radio communication went like this:
“Commander, we’re picking up a meteor on radar.”
“That’s no meteor. It’s a space station! Err... spaceship.”
“It looks like a Rebel Frigate. Should we fire on it, sir?”
“Meh, don’t bother. At that speed, and in the condition it’s in, it’ll explode on impact.”
Apparently the escape pods were launched before the Corellian Legacy “landed.” -Which was quite the sight to see, by the way. I’ve never seen a fireball that big before! Word has it that CorellianComedian has already begun work on his new ship called: “The Corellian Legacy Legacy.”)

Combat strategy worked less well. (-Which is kind of sad if you think about it...) Wedge Antilles coordinated a group of snowspeeders (which survived the “landing” somehow) to take on the Separatist forces. Our brilliant pilots were good enough that they could maneuver easily within the hallways of the structure. (By brilliant, he means they scored higher than 7 on the IQ test. Were these the same pilots that were driving “The Corellian Legacy”? Because that would explain a few things...) The Squib Trader who has accompanied me on so many missions proved vital in equipping the snowspeeders with explosives to blast down the doors that stood in their way. (Yeah, who would’ve thought that strapping C4 to the windshield of your snowspeeder would actually work?) Everything was going fine until the Separatists arrived.

Spider Droids. Heavily armored Dwarf Spider Droids. The blasters on our snowspeeders barely tickled them, while they sat and blasted us with salvo after salvo. (Yeah! Who makes those Spider Droids? Whoever he is, he’s not getting paid enough!) However, we put up a bold fight with our speeders. (A Bold fight? You flew your speeders out into the hallway, rolled down the windows and yelled: “Bang!” “Bang!” and flew back.) Under the careful guidance of Wedge Antilles and two other pilots, the speeders raced in and out of sight, slowly whittling down the Separatists (very, very slowly. VERY.) and wheeling back inside for repairs.

However, the squadron was taking more damage than it was dealing, (You kept rolling 1s. It was kind of hard not to...) and they also were simply unable to penetrate the shields of an advanced Destroyer Droid that had parked nearby. (Those Destroyers must have been made by the same person that created the Spider Droids! Ahh, So helpful! Somebody get this guy a raise!) Thankfully, Wedge knew just what to do, and jumped into action. (“The Action With Valor,” specifically which had also managed to survive the Rebel’s initial “landing”) He had one of the speeders hover in place - a risky strategy, but well worth it. (We had tapped the Rebel’s com system. Their radio communication at this point went as follows:
“Whoa, dude! Is that Bossk?”
“What?! I don’t care! Help me get this fire out!”
“Yeah! I’m pretty sure it is him! Cool!”
“Help me, you big furry oaf! I couldn’t care less who you saw!”)

However, it became clear that we were outgunned. (It wasn’t so much that you were outgunned, your problem was that you didn’t bring any ammunition with you) We managed to hold out until the mysterious Jedi came out of hiding. (She was all like: “Yeah. You guys need the help. No wonder the Republic lost the war.”) She was escorted to the Corellian Legacy (the flaming remains of the Corellian Legacy*) by the technical crew just as a fuming Savage Opress came roaring into the remains of Red Squadron. (Yeah, sorry he didn’t get there sooner. He got a flat tire on the way there...) However, with the Jedi safe, we had no reason to continue the fight, (Wedge was like: “Well guys, all things considered, it might be just as good –if not better- if we didn’t stay here and die”) and so Wedge - with slightly singed eyebrows and scorched uniform from the Spider Droids' missile pods - ordered an evacuation of the remaining forces.

I'd like to report that we recovered footage from the facility's old security cameras showing that Savage Opress spent the first few minutes of the battle sitting in the back working himself into a frenzy. (He couldn’t get the tire jack to work. That’ll work anyone into a frenzy) Coming out just in time to see us escape, I'd hate to see what he did to Bossk and the remaining Spider Droids.

I'd also like to report that about half of the ammunition we used turned out to be blanks; numerous weapon failures caused the inconvenient survival of the Droids several times. (Huh, CorellianComedian, doesn’t it seem suspicious that you keep having weapons failures during our battles? I think your supreme commander is trying to bump you off by sending you on suicide missions with no ammo. You are certainly welcome to join the Confederacy! There will be cake!)

(Now, I’d like to report that after the Rebels had escorted the jedi off to her doom... *cough* I mean safety, the Rebel leaders immediately blasted off into hyperspace leaving the CorellianComedian’s squad to fight their way out of the Confederacy’s grip. We proceeded to demolish their squad unit by unit until it was just the human engineer and the squib trader left. As Bossk barbequed the engineer, my two remaining Spider Droids pinned the trader to a wall. Just as Bossk was walking up, warming up his flamethrower to fry the little squib with his flamethrower, the rebel supreme commander, Spryguy himself appeared on the battle field leading his army of ewoks! He tossed the squib trader a jetpack, and a Little Debbie’s granola energy bar which granted him Hit Points: 1200! His bodyguard, someone by the name of Chuck Norris roundhouse kicked Savage Oppress, and the shockwave caused all my men on the battle field to go slamming through the walls to the other end of the map. Spryguy scooped up the Squib trader and made his getaway.) (In real life, what actually happened was CorellianComedian and I were playing our game, time ran out, Comedian won by 2 points, and we decided to just play out the rest of the game. With my damage reduction and Comedian’s poor dice rolls, I completely demolished his squad. Just as I was about to roast his squib trader, Spryguy joined our Vassal game to watch. Seeing the situation, he decided to intervene... and things pretty much played out as written above.)

Overall, a successful mission. Another Jedi protected from the Separatists and ready to help our cause.

End Transmission.

(You see that?! 2 points. HE WON BY 2 POINTS!!! Not quite a definitive victory, I’d say.) When the round ended, Savage had just stormed gambit, and Wedge was in the back with 10 HP left, but no Uniques were lost.

Victory for the Rebels! (But not really a defeat for the Confederacy...)

(Now, again, I'd like to emphasize something. I, with a 199 point squad went up against an effectively 234 point squad and only lost by 2 points! And after the battle was over, I completely squished the Rebel resistance! These Rebels use screwy loopholes in the rules to beef up their squads almost to the point of invincibility, and even then they can only win by 2 POINTS!!! to all who reside in this glorious galaxy I say: We will crush this rebellion! GO CONFEDERACY!!!)

Hah, those flaming wrecks were actually captured Separatist frigates that we used as a distraction. The Corellian Legacy ran through your blockade while you were busy discussing the finer points of whether to shoot at blazing Rebel ships or not.

And a Sith Apprentice had a flat tire? No wonder the Rebels are winning the war!

Hah, those flaming wrecks, were captured Rebel frigates disguised as Separatist frigates that we let you capture! They were originally Corellian made frigates. That's why they were flaming wrecks.

And in regards to Savage's vehicle: That too was Corellian made. Hence the flat tire. No wonder nobody wants the Rebels to win the war!

Also, You hired someone NOT from Corellia to build The Corellian Legacy Legacy, right? Because if not, you might want to get some really good insurance on it.

Seriously, people, read the disclaimers on anything made on Corellia! It'll say: "Warning! Made on Corellia! Not meant for actual use. Do not expect this product to actually perform it's intended purpose."

Before Corellia joined the Rebellion, Savage was trying to help it's floundering economy by buying some of its products. He then realized that the reason Corelia's economy was floundering was because of the quality of it's products.
He almost killed himself trying to use a Corellian made razor. *cringe*

Report:

We have successfully infiltrated the smugglers base and succeeded in pushing back admiral trench and his commando droids. We entered the base to find Sugi attempting to hold negotiations with Trench, but we were able to prove to her the loyalty of these confederate leeches when they attempted to capture her after we started our own set of negotiations. Ezra, Hera, Davin and Kanan proved to be to much for the droids as their expertise in survival played a vital role in making sugi see the lack of power the droids bring to the table. We pushed them back after repelling waves of what had to be commando droids, and finally succeeded in forcing Trench to retreat off system, leaving this forward base of operations and sugi to assist us in furthering the cause of the Rebel Alliance. I await my next orders.

Baine out.

Report from the Abandoned Ship's Command Deck.

I travelled with a squadron of pilots led by Dutch Vander and Han Solo wearing Stormtrooper Armor of all things. Weird, I know. I expected to encounter my nemesis SignerJ, but instead I was greeted by the Supreme Commander's Nemesis Pegolego instead. It was a big shock to me. General Whorm Loathsome and Lobot led a squadron of BX Infiltrators, Umbarans, and an IG-110 Lightsaber droid into the ship.

When I arrived the Dark Master known as Dray was muttering to himself about Ghosts, droids, and living people. When I finally was able to get him to speak he almost killed me with a dark wave of energy until he realized I was no threat. We engaged with Commander Pego's forces in the middle of the ship and traded Infiltrators and Pilots for the most part. After the smoke cleared from the first set of encounters only 1 Red Ace, 1 Gold Ace, Vander, Han, and their R7 were left for my army, while Commander Pego had Whorm, Lobot, 2 Umbaran's (one wounded), and the IG-110.

We then entered the 2nd phase of combat, 4th round of engagements. With initiative on the Rebel side, the wounded Red Ace defeated the IG-110 who was rigged to blow and took the Red Ace with him. The wounded Umbaran attacked the Gold Ace but his blaster misfired and was not able to defeat him. Han Solo charged in screaming about droids and bad feelings and blew the Umbaran away. After that the wounded Gold Ace charged headlong into the fray and attacked the last Umbaran, a mouse, and another dude toting a blaster. With pinpoint accuracy he took down the Umbaran and the other dude. Whorm then charged in and shot the ace leaving him clinging to life, but the rest of Whorm's troops could not take him down. Finally determining that Whorm was to important to the war effort he began retreating after he killed the Gold Ace in the next round of engagement. Leaving Lobot to be captured, he finally fled the battle and Han and Vander controlled the gambit room. Having proved our fighting spirit to Dray, he agreed to join our cause.

(Extremely close match, with severely bad rolls, and really timely good rolls. Thanks to General Grievous for letting Pegolego have Signer's allocations, and Pego for being willing to play. I sent him 4 messages, and I know Grievous sent him some too. So I pray everything is ok with him.)

Final Score:
200-183

I am writing to report that we have lost the chance to have sugi on our side. the ghost crew has defeated me again. their ability to not take damage and also deal surprisingly great damage makes me wonder if they were designed by gods... they are very powerful.. we did not have much of a chance in this battle, Trench was kept alive.
Coming in to receive battle updates and other orders.

@commander jak. the last time I talked to you you were discussing my tardiness in reporting my battle. as I recall you were laughing so hard you fell out of your chair.

we have lost boba fett and cad bane under your command.

I suggest spending less time on frivolous banter and more time preparing your army before landing to engage the enemy. tactics are required if we are going to win this war.

@commander jak. the last time I talked to you you were discussing my tardiness in reporting my battle. as I recall you were laughing so hard you fell out of your chair.

we have lost boba fett and cad bane under your command. don't forget GGDAC! if your gonna be a dick, at least be accurateBigGrin

I suggest spending less time on frivolous banter and more time preparing your army before landing to engage the enemy. tactics are required if we are going to win this war.

when you make the top 8 at GenCon, as Juice man and I have, you may talk to me about tactics

HAHA Amazing. some crappy logic there my friend. your tactics sucked on that day. fact.
you are only as good as you play on that day. the reason is because you have to actually play each time.
for instance, you look at nba. if harden had a bad night rockets struggle big time. they lose. would you say harden is acrappy player? of course not. but if you judge him by that one game, yep he is not a super star.

you had a crappy game. falling behind the "gencon shield" is not going to change that.

Guys? Fun? Confused Only reason I haven't lost any Uniques (so far) is, well, I hide them/have only one.

P.S.
To be fair to Jak, Cad and Boba were more than half of his squad, if he didn't engage with them, well, why have them in the squad?
