That is ridiculous... What happens if the character has rolling cleave? And if a character is dealt enough damage to kill can he riposte?

And if a character is dealt enough damage to kill can he riposte? Yes, he can Riposte. Riposte happens at the same time as Djem So. Rolling Cleave triggers in step 13 of resolving effects. If you are still on the board when you reach step 13 of an attack sequence, then you would get your chance at Rolling Cleave. So if both of them are going down, it depends on the order the attacks are resolved and which character started with more hit points. But it isn't dead until it takes the damage. And it doesn't take the damage until after it's had a chance to respond to the hit, including potential Djem So, Riposte, Block, Evade, etc.

Shem so and riposte only happen if he is hit, thus will receive damage and die... Example- Anakin gets chopped in half... Holy crap Anakin is still swinging! Quigon is stabbed in the stomach, he beheads Darth maul instead of slumping to the floor!! For the record I will respect the ruling... Just when was the last time you saw/read to guys with light sabers kill each other? This isn't Ineago Montoya!! Lol

hit does NOT mean take damage. You could parry or block or have your bodyguard take the damage, etc.

Using Djem So when your character is going to eventually take the damage is like using light saber reflect and still taking the damage... I understand the wording and reason for the ruling. However Djem so is not the same as parry, block or any of the others. I know it won't change, but from a practical stand point it doesn't make sense...
