I love this time of year! Firstly: Graham/TheHutts TenaciousG is an NZ SWM Legend and a student of the game. There's not much he doesn't know, his posts are intelligent and insightful, he is a constant presence on the SHNN, he is a smart squad builder, he organised the Hutt region and as a player is brutal. Dave/Dr.Daman This fellow has stepped up massively in the last coupl'a years. He has taken the Save11 CEO mantle from me and ran with it, making it his own. NZ SWM is the better for it! As a player, he is the current NZ champ which backs up his earlier Lower Hutt major win. Tim/MiniTankHT I wanna throw my hand up for Tim. He's currently on the Playtesting committee, he is a smart man and is a dangerous opponent, having won the US Vassal Regional (over some classy opposition) and making the finals at two NZ Majors in the last year and a half and making the semis of the most recent NZ Champs. Swinefeld Swinefled, enough said! UrbanShmi When you think about innovative squad building, you instantly think Laura. Secondly, FlyingArrow wrote:What happened to kezz, anyway? Kezz is still around! I've just finished Term 4 of our school year (I'm a High School Teacher) and there have been heaps of students I've been working with to get their NCEA Qualifications. It's been a hugely successful year as far as school is concerned(!) but that's had a detrimental effect on my SWM career! Anyhoo, Dave/Dr.Daman has put his hand up run Save11 and is doing a stellar job. I'm looking to play heaps and help out down here when I can. It's also today, my first day of holidays (five weeks of lovely!) so I'll hopefully be up for more SWM action. Mauri ora, mauri mate!

Well I really regret not getting my votes out sooner because my first 2 votes are for a couple guys who get overlooked too often. No they are not play testers or designers and they aren't very active on the forums but their contributions are imo deserving of HoF recognition.
Tim and Mark created the Star Wars Miniverse Podcast and continue to promote this game through that medium doing reviews, rules discussions, bringing you interviews of a wide variety of people involved in this game and much more.
In addition they have helped foster one of the longest running local SWM playgroups anywhere. Their efforts in running this group and teaching new players is the sole reason I stumbled onto this game.
I have vivid memories of when my son and I first showed up to play with a handful of minis and barely an idea of how to play. The selfless way they approached teaching new players showed the type of ambassadors to this game that they truly are.
Then with the demise of the Racine group and the store that had previously hosted the WI Regional, Tim and Mark assumed the mantle of continuing to organize that event to keep things going in Wisconsin.
So while they don't follow the traditional path of contributions to this game they have carved out their niche and impacted things their own way and I can't think of anyone more deserving of SWM HoF accolades.
My 3rd vote goes to the Hutts. Very active poster whose demeanor and quality of posts alone make this a better community (and that doesn't even take into account what you hear about how he impacts the NZ scene).
4th Jake K deserves recognition for his contributions. Between his spearheading of the Royal Rumble format, his character design concepts and skill level in this game his importance to this game is quite clear to me.
And last but certainly not least is Gerry / Darph Nader. Gerry is a back to back top 8 finisher at Gencon. He has made a very large imprint in fostering the WNY SWM community (including bringing you FrostyCon). Not only is Gerry a tremendous competitor and ambassador to the game but his infectious enthusiasm for not only gaming but life as well simply makes the game better with him around and I am grateful to call him a friend.
Thanks everyone for your tremendous contributions however you make them.

1 Swinefeld 2/3 Tim and Mark 4 DARPHNADER 5 theHutts Oh jeez. How could I forget Swinefeld?! Perhaps the most deserving of all given the substantial amount of time and effort he puts into this community. I will stick w/ my nominations and just leave off w/ a massive thanks to Dave!

Wow...peak season has really taken me out of it. I didn't know this was even going on.
1. Darph Nader: It may be lost to those of you who don't live on the East Coast, but Gerry has been a major catalyst over here the past few years. He has organized and run some great tournaments, travels well and supports as many events as he can, and has made the top 8 at GenCon the past 2 years. I'd also say that he's been the glue to the New York players and maybe even the East Coast.
2. Greentime: Graham is a great player. Period. His work took him away from his playgroup for months and it didn't even seem to matter. The fact that he's a great guy and a blast to hang out with isn't lost on anyone.
3. UrbanShmi: Laura works tirelessly behind the scenes in so many ways. She's a great squad designer, a capable player, and one of our most knowledgeable judges. People may also know her by her customs work or her behind the scenes work at GenCon. Did I leave anything out?
4. TheHutts: Another Graham, another legendary player. With the size of our New Zealand group, it isn't right that we only have one representative so far. Graham's participation on the boards and on SHNN go a long way to keeping the enthusiasm level up for our game.
5. Swinefeld: Every year Dave is faithful to helping put out quality Vset cards and every year we pass him by. He is the ultimate behind the scenes guy and he is a big reason why our cards of such high quality. It's time we show our quality and vote him in.
There are other names I wanted to nominate...I didn't have just 5 in my mind. Some of you have already nominated them, so I feel better. Still, if there's someone you have had contact with that has made significant contributions to our game, please nominate them. Everyone who plays is qualified to nominate!
