I have mixed feelings about the piece. Yeah I think anti swarm is good, and charging fire to take out 3 uggies/Drones ect is pretty effective. I just don't know if it's a realistic SA. I'm glad Squad member is getting used again.

I think this guy will really shine if we ever get a Rebel Reinforcements 20 character. Sure, Mothma or Garm can bring him in, but it's not the best there.

With Bravado, Twin, and Vander's CE, the Red Squadron Aces are really good at putting a big hit on one piece. These Gold Aces are a good complement to them, as they can clear out fodder for them, and help get them their Squad bonuses. I think they're a strong piece - there are normally going to be some fodder pieces to clear out, even if you're not playing specifically against a swarm.

personally I wish they would just errata the problem, but it is what it is, and this piece is a good step to fixing the problem in game.

I see what you mean, but how would you errata Swarms? Yeah you can (and they have with Daala) with 1 or two pieces, but for a whole Squad type like Swarms? (not just a normal type either but one of the big three. Rock Paper and Scissers) Anyways I like playing against swarm squads most of the time I just feel we need some more cheap counters to them. This helps

depends on the swarm, you could drop rapport off the naboo and let the commander effects be disrupted again. I don't like swarms at all mainly because a squad of stormtroopers should not be able to take on a squad full of jedi with any type of regularity on occasion sure, but swarms dominate right now. but I can see that they are trying to give counters out so that's good. great job on the piece guys.

What I find funny is that Y's were used to take down Capitol ships with X's to kill scrubs to clear the path. Here, in this minis game, the opposite has been created.

He also is good for Klat Ass, Nom Bombs and any other low cost Cloaked, SS problems. So he "fixes" several problems.

On SHNN last Friday:

Yarael Poof
Republic, 44 points
100 hit points, 22 defense, +10 attack, 20 damage
SA: Unique, Melee Attack, Double Attack, Force Bond (Roron Corrobb gains FR1)
FP: 3 FP, Renewal 1, MOTF 2, Force Meditation (like Atris), Jedi Mind Trick 3, Master Illusion, Flamus Fracta (spelling?) (like Grenades 40 as a Force power)

If you've ever made a Yarael Poof custom, you should listen to http://www.talkshoe.com/talkshoe/web/talkCast.jsp?masterId=63807&cmd=tc

Also, names given out:
One-Arm (apparently allows Wampa swarms)

plus Duchess Satine (as Les said above - apparently she's in the Diplomacy subset)

Although I must have missed his relation to Corobb was he Poof's apprentice? And why should I listen if I made a Yarael poof custom? I don't have time to listen ATM so the short version would be great.
