man, who cares about set 10... I just checked out the new custom set, Gathering Forces from the TN guys, and that is all you need to make the game fresh, there is some golden stuff in there.

Play how you want to play, but DO NOT, hate on the V- sets.
Like 'em or not they're the ONLY official characters post Wizards

Be nice or don't post

I think what jak might be saying is.
Have we poo-pooed your attempts to "keep the game fresh?".
Jak and our group regularly pick and choose what SWMs we play with.

Ya, they are the only official pieces...

Not here to "Rouse some rabble" but a lot of the V-set pieces, imo, are not creating more options or avenues of play, they are closing off pieces by creating way more powerful pieces. The route the v-sets are going, in my opinion, should follow more closely with Magic the Gathering.

MtG only keeps certain sets available and has a "core set" that brings back favorites from older sets. This is definitely a way to keep things fresh and more realistic. The problem I am seeing is that there is really only 1 aayla I would ever play. There is really only 1 NR Han I would use now, 1 Quinlan Vos, One Caedus totally outranks the other, the list goes on.
By shutting and opening sets you can limit the reliance on certain pieces and open it up for other versions so we do not see the same armies all the time and also the meta changes as well. What would happen if for a set release you dropped Gha neckht and lobot? it would change the game a lot, some people would love it during that time and some people would not care for it during that time. But it will rotate back in quickly.

Also instead of just making a new version of a piece try and make it playable, reasonably. Something I think was attempted with Wedge Antilles, but it went too far imo. We are just getting so far away from the WotC that it almost makes no sense to keep the majority of those pieces around in the "official" game.

Point being that it is the "official", and it is officially dying. We need to try and freshen it up. I have PTed every single Gathering Force piece, they are a lot of fun and they stay balanced and the designers put most of their time into discussing whether or not it is a true representation of the character. Stay true to the verse, not just throw stuff on there because it seems cool.

Droidadmiral I actually do not know who you are. Are you signing up this time round' I think you said you were too busy last time. Would love to have another player :)

Divide and conquer?

or divide and destroy?

Not sure of your strategy here. The game has been dying since WotC cancelled it, splitting the community does no good.

I'm personally really excited for this. Can't wait to see how people use them.

Big +1 here!

This may or may not be on this characters card.

After landing the vessel behind enemy lines, dropship pilots would frequently join their fellow soldiers on foot into the battle

Oh man, I didn't even think of that! So now every spoiler has to be relevant to some current event? Talk about pressure!
