Not every game will you need cloak off the bat plus Juhani has stealth.

True. But if I see an accurate shooter like Boba on the other side, you can bet Cloak will be considered.

I do like that Juhani also has Stealth. That means she can gain GMA via the TBSV and the BBSV. Those are also 2 very competent commanders.

Good point thats evade too

I honestly think Eroschilles has the right idea: run them both.

I honestly would rather use the battle master for the 2pts more then juhani and the 3 more pts then the watchman .

Well, Deflect will only go so far against Shooters ;). That's the big advantage to using a Watchman over a Battlemaster (but I can see using both together).

So if you like the Jedi BM more, why are we having this discussion? :S

And this comes to the crux of the arguement: this is all a squad building decision. None of the pieces discussed are blatantly better than another. All the opinions given in this threat are subjective, to what you prefer in your squad. Me, I love the Watchmen. There is enough range in this game that I prefer the Anti-accurate and forcing them to base me over the slightly better damage output of Juhani or the better stats of the Battlemaster. Heck, I would be willing to bet that the Watchmen can base with more HP than a Battlemaster.

There is no set answer to this question, only preferences.

Naturally. But I find it odd you would bring up these 2 minis, yet mention another you would use over them. Seems like a pointless discussion if you have already made up your mind.

BTW, would Cloaked force a character with Sith Lightning to be adjacent in order to use the Lightning? Cloaked does mention targeting. Also, assume the Cloaked character has cover.

Yes. Cloaked prevents all non-adjacent targetting when the character has cover.

The "Why would I use a Jedi Watchman over Juhani?" is very easy: availability. If I could get a VR just as cheaply and easily as a common I'd certainly like to give it a try. In terms of squad building with access to unlimited resources I'd use the Watchman when:
1. The points fit better.
2. I want multiples.
3. I'm going to want to begin Cloaked.

That's what I thought. Another reason the Watchman could be used to great effect. Especially with the prevalence of Force Push, Lightning, Missiles, Flamethrower, etc.

I'm not sure why there's confusion that a Very Rare might be slightly better than a Common.

She is better by far in almost every forseeable aspect, but she is unique. So if more numbers were needed that could cloak with her, then it's nice to have a none unique version to run alongside her. Then theres the fact that one is relitvely hard to get and the other is easy to get.

Personally, both are alright, just Juhani would be the one to opt for if I had one. If I needed more and did not feel like using battle masters, then Juhani with Watchmen.

I like the Watchman for the sole reason that, if you need to and aren't facing snipers, you can run him up the map, lurking behind things, and if needs be, other characters, and can get into base with most HP left, sure his damage output isn't that high, but he can tie up a piece for a bit, and hopefully layeth the smackdown...

Plus I like his sculpt...

Great Sculpt for The Watchman, and I don't like Juhani as a character. She bored me in the game, and I enjoyed killing her when I played through as a Sith.

For me the decision between the two is similar to Boba BH vs Boba Merc. I know they have different abilities, but to me the decision often comes down to having Disintegration or 4 extra points to use elsewhere. Juhanis extra abilities are if you're lucky. They should e considered a little bit, but to consider them as much as the OP suggested would seem to mean that the best squad to run is a bunch of gotal mercs with mon mothma; If you're lucky, that sqaud will obliterate anyhting.

Plus the Non-uniqueness and and affecting by more CEs of the watchman is an a HUGE bonus.

If you want the poll be about having 25 pts left in your OR squad and choosing between Juhani and the Watchman, then you have a bad poll. There's too many variables to say which one is better overall. If you want to know who would win 1v1 it would be Juhani, but then there's no point of the poll. Both have advantages in different situations.

I prefer the Jedi Watchman because, hhe first and very important reason, the price, is more easier to collect the JWm, than Juhani, second with all the BH and more to come, is better to have more Non-Uniques is your warband, and the third reason is that more CE applies only to Non-Uniques, so I think is more useful an JWm, greettings.
