Sadly I have given the Amazon advice for the Mission books now for like 4 years. I even wrote review on ebay on how to get them.
I got all of mine for under $5.
I know last year at this time you could still get all three for under $20.
But as of right now I am not sure what the selection is like.
For the guy that bought his. I can promise you it will come in perfet condition. These folks bought those books on the cheap and are just looking to unload them.
For people wanting to know where to get the yellow tape.
Go to Walmart and intop their automotive section. There you will find an 5 Pack of Auto Vinyl Electrical Tape used for car stereo to color code. There will be the mysterious yellow tape for about $2.00

On amazon, Clone Strike's UM starts at $31 used, RotS starts at $125. eBay seems to be the only place you can get them cheap, all other places are expensive or out of stock.

I think it's good for people to know where to get the maps that have to be used at regionals, and if I have questions about where to locate them I'm sure some others may too. My local dealer gave me the legal Cloud City. He said nobody should be charging for them because they were a promo that WOTC was giving away for free.

Again I want to emphasize that if you get some thin yellow tape and put the rough terrain lines on a non legal map it would in fact then be legal to play.
Ha, that is awesome! I found the legal one a whil back on ebay and got it cheap. Didn't realise how lucky I have been.

the Promo is the legal map.
The Ultimate mission one is the map that will need some additonal yellow lines

No, I'm pretty sure the UM one is the non-legal version. But, as Dean pointed out above, it's easy enough to "make it legal". LOL
The Mos Eisley one is the trickier of the two, because the non-legal version is not only missing some lines, it has totally different lines altogether. If I remember correctly, the legal version of Mos Eisley has some beveled corners that the non-legal version does not have.

I'm in the middle of moving and I not only found my Mos Eisley but I also found the 2 different versions of Cloud City, yay! Thinking of getting them laminated to uber-protect them. I've never done that before so still uncertain...

Hmm, so it is the promo versions of cloud city and mos eisley that are legal. I know people can easily "fix" Bespin, but is there anything that can be done about Mos Eisley? Also, are there any ways of easily attaining them? (I've seen some auctions on eBay, but there's like $15-$20 apiece)

I realize this seems daunting to some players to get the correct map but honestly it's no diffrent than collecting the right pieces for your squad
it's a harsh reality, but it is what it is this is a COLLECTABLE Miniatures game not everyone can obtain Cad Bane or Boba Fett; and not eveyone can get the Approved DCI map of their choice...

I would like to see Regionals played with the Standard Map List, as it would allow for more people to participate with their own map, but I can understand why Restricted will be played. I personally don't think that people should have to be forced to troll eBay to find maps which regularly go for over $20, but I do understand that there are ways around paying that much.
I just think we should aim to try and include as many people as possible in this, our last Regionals and GenCon before Wizards discontinues the product. If just one person doesn't show up because they don't have any of the maps, I think it's one person too many.

Well the product will be discontinued before the Regionals so really I am not sure what that has to do with it. This will not be the last Regional or Gencon for SWM either. Really again the maps are easy to obtain especially the restricted ones. The Standard map list will not be used for the Regionals.

Seriously? Throne Room is NOT that hard to get. The 2007 starter is easily available and cheap.

I just don't think it would be too much to ask to have Standard be used, though I fully realize the decision's already been made for Regionals. We should focus on collecting minis and not be completely limited on map choice. Ultimately, we're limiting ourselves to 6 maps, out of 26 total (which are included in Open), when there are so many cool maps to play on. Just my two cents.

Just my two cents. well if you want to see a lot of the minis used then the maps must be restricted. If you open up the maps as you suggest the squads types become restricted very quickly. Gencon last year was the perfect example. If you want to see Slow Cannon be the only squad type then we can open the maps up. Then everyone will be griping about the lack of squad variety. So I guess I am blasteded if I do and blasteded if I dont. So I have restricted the map list. Most people who have played for several years would probably agree with my reasoning. A restricted map list means that we could see Vong and Sith squads being played in Regionals and the Championship.
