Actually, someone pointed out that the Krath were actually non-melee as that's more of a bowcaster on their hands.

They were armed with something similar to an energized longbow, but they used their blades for melee purposes as well. Rather than redesign the piece by dropping Melee and Double (I don't recall their ranged weapons firing quickly), I considered it to be simpler to forget it. I contemplated adding an ability similar to Blaster 20 that would give them a ranged attack option, but I wanted to avoid creating a custom ability because it would make the stats seem more like a custom than a revision.

Posting this just in case someone wants to throw in here. Not trying to start an argument but they were really able to do both. So I guess we have two differing opinions on these guys.

I'd prefer the ranged version as very few would use the melee droids but you added speed which would help that. And considering anyone wanting to use them in Reps/Rebels via Kazden or Seps via Wat-Foreman, that should be taken into consideration.

Hey Saber1, I did go back and revise the miniatures; however, in preserving a pieces playability I did change them significantly. I am aware that the revision concept is a bit different from custom but Luke, Vader, Fett and Palpatine from Rebel Storm will almost never see play; furthermore, I thought it would be best to address some of the characters that have needed better representation for a very long time.

Yeah. WotC failed pretty badly with the Krath. It's almost impossible to revise their Krath while keeping it accurate to the character without changing it into a custom or loosing WotC's design philosophy (whatever that may be) with the piece.

Thanks saber1. Here's one more custom I've thought about since my last set:

GEONOSIAN DRONE

Faction: Separatist
Cost: 3
Hit Points: 10
Defense: 14 (+2) (enhanced playability; ref: Rodian Brute)
Attack: +5 (+4) (enhanced playability; ref: Rodian Brute)
Damage: 10

Special Abilities
Melee Attack

I was torn between reducing the cost to 2 points or just increasing its stats, but I went with the latter because a 2 point figure (without a Rapport affecting them) is unprecedented. So, compared to the Rodian Brute, it gains +1 atk but loses Stable Footing and is Separatist rather than Fringe. It still may not be worth it, but this would make it a heck of a lot better than it was.

Luke is supposed to be the swordsman. Best way to deal with him being in your face is to move away.

I'm not sure that is needed (Ganner) or wise.
