we also have one similar to force open. Any character with a lightsaber may replace their turn to blow a door open permanently. and mouse droids do not provide cover. (because who the heck is hiding behind them.)

We play by the rulebook for the most part, although reading these has given us some good ideas...

The only things that we do differently are:
-we ignore adjacency attack rules (even if a shooter is based, he can attack a different target that has no cover, etc)

-we allow one diagonal to count as one space when counting range (since the diagonals surrounding a piece count as adjacent squares, we allow one diagonal to count as one, not two, when determining range for commander effects, etc.)

I was thinking about tweaking the Hidden Movement found in the UM books for games. THought it might be an interesting way to work with stealth and cloaked squads
