My first game was soon after Bounty Hunters came out. My friend and I both got individual boosters and then one of the LGS employees showed us how to play.
I forget exactly what was played (I know I had Han Solo, Scoundrel and he had Princess Leia, Hoth Commander) or how it was played.
But, in short, I lost (for reasons I don't remember). Gotta start somewhere though.

In 2005, I was in seventh grade. My friend and I found the Revenge of the Sith Ultimate Missions book, so he bought it, then we both split a Universe booster. He got the huge (Reek) and I got the rare (Darth Vader, Jedi Hunter),then we both played on the Mustafar map. We used 3 d6s instead of a D20, and added the damage to the attack, and used the excess of the attack roll as what the damage was. (no rulebook, and no familiarity with d20 games) Afterwards, I drew a map so that I could play myself.

Ah, when the game was simple...

Bought a RS starter and a couple RS boosters. Didn't understand the rules so me and my friend played using D&D minis rules (I always thought Flanking rules should have made their way into SWM)

Really had no idea what we were doing, but we were hooked.

After finding the starter at borders. I looked into finding booster and found them at sci fi genre. After getting 3 cases I was able to decide to start playing.

My first game was against my wife(fiance at the time)

She clobbered me.

I then was able to talk her into a couple of the ultimate missions. She has not played a game since. Eventually I stumbled onto a game group at a store I frequented for RPGs and rest is history.

I remember a buddy of mine showing me the catalogue entry for Rebel Storm. I said I'd buy a box or two for my Star Wars collection, but I really wasn't into the gaming aspect. I picked up a couple of boosters and the starter set to begin with when they came out. I showed them to another friend and he said we should play. However, we were somewhat confused by the rules and didn't do much with them until another buddy looked at the rules, said it was close to what he used to play and sorted it out for us. We played mixed teams in a 3-way battle and thought it was pretty cool. Probably the first and last time I used the Bothan Spy piece. Anyway, now I'm 6 pieces away from having all the characters and started a club at my school for kids to learn the game at lunch time (I teach). I also play tournaments once a month and spend my daydreaming time making teams in my head, and aside from books/comics, the minis are the only thing I was actively collecting that was Star Wars, since I felt ridiculous going "pew! pew!" and "vum, vum" with my Hasbro figures.
I love the game, warts and all, and I'm sad to see it go. However, I also really like the fact that once I have those final 6, I will be able to keep playing for a long time. I also remember that my buddy's girlfriend usually was the winner when we played, but that was partly because she let him and I bash each other to pieces then mopped up. Oh, and she sulked if we went after her.
