I hear that. The main reason people don't play Vong is cause there aren't enough figures for them out there. They only need a few key pieces to make them a really tough squad to go up against. But instead they need to make more Rebels and Republic pieces... which is all that people seem to play these days. Oh, and lets limit the sets to only 40 figs now, instead of 60... and also lets make half of them battle droids and clone troopers.
These sets are a waste of money now.

3 sets at 40 vs 2 sets of 60 makes little difference.

I rate the set 2.5/10
Unfortunatly after seeing all the stats, I just think people will keep on running the same Republic and other squads. It looks like Veers will be the "common" rare.

Aye, it's kind of ironic that almost all the Rebel pieces, are also Republic pieces. Hence the republic have 3 streight sets of solid support. XD Pretty much like KOTOR, where the OR, Mando and Sith were meant to have tons of attention lashed on them, but arguabily the other factions recieved much better support then what was granted. Only thing the O.R have over anything right now is the cheapest Extra attack commander, not much of a confort when Obi-Wan definately makes his points back in the super mobile sponge department. XD
Though, I feel imperial and Fringe are the real benifactors here, the Inquistor is a interesting piece that may see use in more force shooty squads.

Maybe it's me but the Inquisitor will make more people think twice in giving super shooters like Dash, Cad, Boba-Merc, and the like a force point from the Dark Woman via Light Tutor. If they don't have a force point, they get ravaged by the CE effect. They get the the force point, they run the risk of turning outside of the auto damage. Just something to think about. You put together a fun squad of Palp-SL (barring another Betrayal Palps) or Kreia and you have your opponent, who may run a bunch of twin shooters, kind of wondering if having several shots is a good idea. Of course, I am probably wrong.

I like the set quite a bit. Some very fun and interesting options coming, that will be great fun playing around with and so on.

Of course, I am probably wrong. Possibly, but personally, his SA is probably something I would use if I was able to use it, not something I would field him solely for since commanders tend to have a habit of going down quickly to shooters. I would run him in a squad using Afica and other force based shooters and force them to come down to him rather then the other way around.

These sets are a waste of money now. I know what you are saying and still hoping against hope that MOTF will be a set to bring power back to the weaker factions. I have been calling for a Yammosk-type piece for the vong to boost them up for years now. Although I give dark times this, I am a collector as well as a player and they have a very nice mix of EU characters such as Jax, Hett, and more. There's also plenty of fringe which helps at least the Nom bomb squads and everybody can make use of fringe. I enjoy collecting all the sets, yes even the clone wars. But I do still wish for one to boost up the OTHER 4 FACTIONS. Still though all in all pleased by Dark Times as far as roster, not so much as far as balance and faction boosting.
