In my view, RS Palps is better with Disciples.

But don't the Disciples already have Force Renewal? I realize it takes 2 FPs per Zap or Corruption, but they can replenish that themselves.

I'm not advocating Palps on Throne either. I think the Disciples are somewhat self-sufficient. I believe it is the only non-unique that has Force Renewal.

EDIT: Forgot about the Exceptional Apprentice. So does this have to do with RS Palps being able to move? He could, in theory, move together with the Disciples and add to the zapping power.

Not just movement but he is a swapper, is a medium base not a large (really helps on LOS) and gets more mileage out of his own Force Powers, Palpy on Throne rarely gets to use any of his abilities if he is facing an experienced player.

I suppose Swapping is something I hadn't considered (probably because that's 40 for Palps + 32 for Thrawn). I could see running those two together with some Disciples, but it wouldn't be my first option. That Opportunist CE is wasted on them. Although the same could be said for a VAU squad.

I'm sure Palps on Throne gets to use Evade every once and a while ;).

Well and I just thought of this to, Palpy on Throne can be Disrupted around corners, whereas Emp Palpy can be mobile.

Oh, and the Camaasi Trick doesn't work on Emp Palpy as well either.

Am I the only one that regularly combines fire?
use Moff w/ baron fel for a total of extra +10 to hit, great with swarm squads
with all the CE for the Empire you can have some lil' dude blast a Krayt dragon in two

the sculpt is lame, we call him officer proud pants (look at the fig.)

Yes, you ARE the only one who regularly combines fire. You are also the only one who can't hit the broadside of the Death Star.

But the Death Star is a sphere... so how do you know you're even shooting at its broad side?

@ creme brule: Defense makes no difference to DarthJak. Whatever he needs to hit, he manages to roll one less. (Bless his heart)
@ Draconarius: Hmmm, yes, therefore any side is the broadside !

I know LotF isn't a 2009 set, but since I bought the booster in 2009, and my very first SWM Rare ever was pretty lame, I feel like mentioning her, lol:

Deena Shan.

C3PO needs 11 points of support. Rebel troop cart. End of story.

He can't get into the Rebel Toop Cart, as he cannot move. He had a speed of 0, making it impossible to actually forfill the requirements of entering the cart.

I had never thought of this. I figured if he set up adjacent to the cart he could get in before it first moves.

i wish so to, but i guess he hs to END his move adj. to it, so it would take a ASP-7 droidor a T1 AND a troop cart to put him in...or luke RC ;)

Hate to break the news... but none of those situations are his movement, so they don't work. The only way to get him in there is to have Yoda of Dagobah use Light Tutor on him, and then he spends his FP for the extra 2 squares of movement so he can actually move on his turn and end adjacent to the Cart.

Note: I'm still waiting for a chance to try out my Crappio Cart squad. What could be more fun than 15x15 squares of rolling disruptive? Tongue

Jerjerrod has Rapport for crap, and supports followers who combine fire, including stormtroopers.

My first ever booster had Jariah Syn, so I was sorta happy. I still don't have Deena Shan...not that I am trying to get her.

I have to say, I am quite liking Moff Jerjerrod though. I use combine fire occasionally. Especially in larger games. But I guess he is not that great for a competitive squad.

Depends on the math. With Jerjerrod, you are essentially adding 40% to hitting a character.

i combine fire as well and see the benefits to it in certain situations especially with a good spotter.

Hi, if you don't know me my name is Tim. I won the GenCon Jedi Challenge a this year's GenCon. That's the tournament series where you play in separate 100, 150 and 200pt tournaments, and the best overall record of all 3 wins it all. I had Gha Nackt on 2 of 3 of those squads. He was my MVP. Seriously. So I think he is very, VERY useful. Check my squads for the winning combos with Gha in 150 and 200.

I'm not surprised you did well with him. Clearly carnorjax hasn't used the fat **** before now. That fat trandoshan is great for droid squads.

Deena Shan is great! 12 point disruptive with accurite shot, stealth, and a high def she can shut down your opponent and with her stealth be super annoying to kill. She should def not be in this discussion.

And i still say to this day that the ewok deity is good even without commando luke.

Sad to say, Deena is outclassed by Juno, more often than not. I realize she has a higher D and Stealth, but Juno only needs to stop a CE once to be worth it. Plus she has 10 more HPs than Deena. And if you are using her for Disruptive, Stealth is kind of irrelevant. She needs to be within 6 for that to take effect.

Now if Deena counted as a Commando, things would be different. I could see using her in SS squads.

SuperStealth Disruptive? Oh, boy, that'd be a potent mix. If only, if only...
