It's the price to be paid for being popular. If the Vong hadn't killed Chewbacca, maybe they would have gotten love, too.

I'm wondering/hoping that the force spirits each provide something different. And that Yoda's may be in an Republic squad as well.

Was surprised to see Freedon Nadd not in spirit/hologram form, but am thankful.

It really saddens me to see such negativity. I gaurentee the majority would be singing its praises if it wasn't the last set. I think there is only one mini that we the game didn't NEED, but a new commander Han should be fun. The game would never be complete, no matter how many sets were made.

My first impressions:

OR -- Looks solid with some potential for great SAs / CEs even from the non-uniques that could really help boost the faction. Cool to get a Lord Hoth before it is over.

Sith -- Another lone Sith that will probably be a high-cost beatstick that gets defeated easily. Hopefully more, but not too exciting for me right now.

Republic - VOOLVIF MONN!! Sweet piece. I like the 2D animated gets some love with sculpts. Like the OR, I see some potential for great CEs here - maybe to boost certain pieces for greater squad variety in the Republic. Would have rather had a different species for the generic diplomat, but better than having him Unique.

Seps - BDO is a must have for anyone who wants to play Seps, so worth the reprint. Personally would have preferred the Tactical Droid who maybe replaced the BDO and had some other killer ability, but not overly disappointed.

Rebel - Could be some interesting CEs and looking forward to the abilities of the spirits. Cool that we have the full set of three now.

Imperial - Meh, we'll see about the stats

NR - see Imperial above (great sculpt though)

Fringe - really looking forward to the Dejarik monsters. I know a few SW collectors who might be getting their first minis because of these guys. I hope they have some exotic abilities we haven't seen yet. One last Ewok (even if it is a resculpt) - doesn't he look more like a caddy than a warrior?? Some new species (liking the Toydarian especially) and some potential troop builders. Hoping Grievous has a good CE that brings something old into the realm of playable and not just making good factions better. Someone mentioned Disruptive on him and that would be very cool.

Vong - looks like another melee for the faction, but maybe some good abilities.

Mando - looks like melee as well. At least he looks different than pieces we've gotten in the past, but wait and see on the stats.

Overall, very happy so far. A few minor tweaks would have been better in my book, but I think the set should appeal to a variety of gamers, RPGers and collectors; OT, PT (CW mostly) and EU fans. Nice mixture of elements and I'm really surprised no stats have been leaked at all (or previewed) so close to release. At least we still have something to speculate about and look forward to.

+1 - I agree entirely. I know I am not 100% jumping out of my chair happy, but the few negatives I see personally are far outweighed by the many positives overall. I wish more could enjoy what we do have instead of lamenting what we don't. But, to each his own, I guess.

I'm disappointed that the ewok is a reprint. They could have easily made him with different stats. I guess I wouldn't care, but this being the last set it seems like a waste. I'm really supprised we did not get another storm trooper though.

Considering the Ewok is a reprint from A&E, I think there will be several happy collectors. He will look better with the rest of the round-based Ewoks. Of course I still like the pose from A&E better Wink.

This is pre-suit Vader, though. I, for one, am excited to get a new pre-suit Vader since the only one we have wasn't even that good back when he was released in ROTS.

Overall, it's a pretty good set. I'm surprised that they threw in a lone Chiss. The mercenary was understandable as a standalone, but once they throw in a character like a Chiss Trooper, it implies that it actually belongs to the Chiss Ascendancy, which is at least worthy of being a subfaction, which is now impossible since this is the last set.

While it's not really disappointing, I find it odd that we get Lord Hoth without his opposite, Lord Kaan. I dislike the fact that we get force spirit versions of both Anakin and Yoda when there are so many minis we still need. (Especially regarding the Anakin when we are already getting a pre-suit Vader).

My rating: 4/5

Well I find this a classic WotC set. Four or five reprints or remakes (Gamorean, Ewok BDO...) Repeates of character with 3 or more representations (Solo, Vader, ANOTHER Kit...) and of course instead of giving Vong, mando, and Sith more peices they made these. And dont even get me started on those FS's all for the same faction. The rebels are already beast enough just ask anyone whose been to the Gencon. I just hope you cant have three or 4 of em on one character. But I am excited for the OR getting a substantial boost and grievious would be awesome with Disruptive and being a powerful shooter. The Dejarick characters will probaly be savage and that would go well with NAdd or Kun so i think they will be pretty nice Freedon Nadd... well the sculpt is neat but he'll probably be a 60pt Beat that gets killed in one round. I hope he'll have a kick but CE for turnig chacarters to the DS or savages. The Vader looks OK he would be cool if he had affinity for sidious or sith. The mandos could have used Mirta, Beviin, or Cassus or a blacksmith more but this is about normal. the mace is much needed so i wont complain about him. All in all not a bad set. I think Ill probably split a case with my friend. WotC did pretty good after all. I have several complaints but things arent that bad and we still have the V set to look forward to.

It stinks that we didnt get a Zannah or a Kaan considering they still got Hoth!!??!!?

my rating 3/5 they could of done better but at least they gave us some good stuff.

I think there are actually only 2 reprints (BDO and Ewok Warrior). If they were going to include reprints, these are 2 pretty good choices (the BDO is a fairly sought-after Sep piece from an early set, and the Ewok is from A&E). A Mouse Droid and Ugnaught Demo would probably have been better, but what can you do?

As for Zannah, the New Lost Twenty project (which should be done pretty soon) will include her. It's not official, but it's something.

What is the NewLost Twenty? Are they minis I can buy and use in matches? Where can I purchase them? How did you come by this info?

P.S. sorry about the interrogation

The New Lost Twenty ((Link)is a 20 pieces set of unmade characters that the players wanted to see. It is heavily based on The Lost Twenty (Link). Depending on how the whole VSet ideas go, these great customs will hopefully become "legal".

It's an uncommon OR piece that comes out in Masters of the Force.

No stats are revealed, leaked, or previewed yet.

As usual, people are screwing around and posting stuff like "use a newX instead of Aqualish Assassin" and making people think they know the stats. Of course they don't, they're just screwing with us for attention.
