UrbanShmi wrote:All right, let's try something else. In a few weeks, we'll be spoiling stats for a piece that's been on my personal wish list for a looooong time. This character is known as a constant companion to someone on the design teams favorite WotC piece, and will bring some very interesting mechanics to his faction. He's usually known by a nickname, but please give me the full name. Bonus points if you can tell me the names of three known associates, some of whom have also made appearances in the V-sets. No - although this character has a very close droid ally, and is pretty amazing with droids

Not a Droid himself. Just very good with mechanical things.

Oh I see I think I misread Tim's rebuttal to my clue. It makes sense now thank you.
Who is good with Robits?
Corran Horn?

Corran Horn? Corran might be good with droids but that's not who this character is

Let me reset ok because I am only taking parts of this clue and butchering it with my guesses.
-Has a Nickname -Good with mechanics/droids -companion to V-set designer favorite WotC piece -a piece on Laura's personal wish list -He has at least 3 known associates (with V-set appearances)
Is it Derek "Hobbie" Klivian?

I would not assume three V-set associates (I can think of only two off the top of my head), but otherwise you have the right information.
Wrong guy, though.

While Andy (and anyone else) is puzzling that out, I have another little tidbit.
On next week's SHNN, we will be giving a name. It's a Fringe non-unique that a few people have been asking for for awhile, with potential synergies in at least two different factions.
This piece also has a brand new special ability, a version of which also appears on a character in the mini-set. This new ability might be a good counter to a piece from V-set 9 that was getting a LOT of attention a few months ago.
Let the guessing begin!

Camper? aka Gorman Vandrayk
Associates being Zayne, Jarael, and Marn (I'm not too familiar with the stories around him)

YeS, regionals run on the floor rules, there should be a sticky explaining those For this season, everything will be legal through set 9 (Warfare and Subterfuge)...not the spoiled stats from 10. Those pieces will be released at Gen Con this year and will be legal thereafter.

(Horrible name, great ability) Reminds me of a figure I still want to create - hunt saboteur. Special ability that gives allies within 6 immunity to any ability whose name contains Hunter.

Agreed on the name, but I hope you caught the reference. I'm old, but I don't think you're that young. ;)
