If Tyber elects to bribe from the opponent's squad, can these be non-living characters? As it only specifies on the card, "living" Fringe characters for his initial 10 pts.

Yes, he can steal non-living figures.

Ok with that being established, what are the rules for counting the ten points? Meaning if an opponent brings in say 12 points of MSD plus an R7 through Lobot and I have Gha in my squad; would I then be able to grab the 4 MSD's, as they would count as 8 points?

EDIT: Never mind, misread the question.

Rapport would still affect the figures you steal, so you could take the 4 Mice.

What if I didn't have Gha but my opponent did? Could I take 5 of his mice or only 3?

Okay, I misread the question. You steal points based on how much they cost for the opponent. So if the opponent has Gha and brings in Mice, you can steal up to 5 (10 pts) of mice. Bribery is just looking at how much the figure costs while in the opponent's squad.

If you have Tyber in your squad, but the character(s) your opponent brings in through Reinforcements are worth more than 10 points each, that would mean you can't use Bribery to take any characters from your opponent, right?

I just want to confirm that Zann can 'steal' characters of any faction?
And no matter what faction they are, whether they are living or not, they gain Zann Consortium?
And do either the characters brought in, or the characters stolen count for points?

To clarify the 3rd question: from the V-3 mini-FAQ

Quote:
Bribery
Q: Do you reveal your Bribery figs before or after Reinforcements during setup?
A: At the same time, just like if you had Reinforcements.
Q: Do the figures you brought in by Bribery cost victory points when defeated?
A: No, they are treated the same as Reinforcement figures.
Q: What about the opponent's Reinforcement figures I take by Bribery?
A: No, they are still treated like figures brought in by Reinforcements.

If both players have Zann, I can't bribe characters brought in with Bribery correct? So if I have Lobot & Zann, it needs to be clear who brought in what right?

Correct. It has to be clear who brought in what anyway, since you can't combine Reinforcements.

One further question on Bribery please. do the character you bring in to your squad (not ones stolen for your opponents) gain Zann Consortium? the way i read it, it's only stolen characters that gain the ability

"These characters join your squad for the rest of the skirmish, gain Zann Consortium and set up in your starting area."

You bribe a character and bring them in based on their cost in the opponent's squad. Does their cost change once they are in your squad? It doesn't matter for victory points since they count as Reinforcements, but it seems like they would. I don't remember if there are any abilities that reference cost (without specifying printed cost), so it may be a moot point anyway.
