Once per turn, 1 ally within 6 squares may combine fire without becoming activated. If 2 or more allies within 6 squares combine fire on the same attack, the attack gets +10 Damage and cannot be prevented or redirected.
So, I get how the 1 ally biz works: he combines fire and is happy as Larry. But the 2 allies bit... do they both become activated? Or not?

If you combine with 2, 1 of them becomes activated, the other can combine again, or take its usual turn.
Consider a Twin Attacker getting CF support:
-troopers A&B combine on the 1st shot, you declare A will take the freebie, B is activated.
-On the twin, A combines again, with C, and both are activated. (you used your once per turn freebie)
ABCD all combine, A takes freebie, BCD are activated.
and so on...

Can A & B combine, and then A combine AGAIN (now activating), for a total of +12 CF bonus on the first attack?
