Do they have to have the exact same name as "Chiss trooper" and can it just be the last name "trooper".? I was hoping to fit him in an Imperial squad and get squad assault for Vader's troopers.

For squad abilities, it has to be the exact same name.

For a squad ability, the characters must have the exact same name or an ability that lets them count as a character with the same name.
For example, the Galactic Marine counts as an Elite Clone Trooper, so for his Squad ability to work, he needs 3 characters named either "Galactic Marine" or "Elite Clone Trooper" within range of him. Somebody named, say, "Galactic Marine Captain" or "Elite Clone Trooper Grenadier" would not work.
