ok.... so I know that camaraderie does not go away when the person with it is defeated, but what happens when I switch them out with versatility?

I would say that unless Camaraderie is chosen as the carryover ability from versatility, it would not take effect. As the character with Camaraderie isn't in the squad at the start of the actual skirmish combat (first initiative roll).

Wait who are you switching out? The person WITH Camraderie or the person receiving?

Lord Ball should be correct.
If I start with Han, and switch to another Han using versatility, then the original Han was never considered to be in my squad so unless I choose to take camaraderie as the SA, the other characters don't get it.

I would like to hear an official Sithborg ruling since it's such a weird ability, and since everyone was wrong about how it worked in the beginning.
Camaraderie doesn't specify when the specified characters gain their bonus. Versatility takes place after set up. To me the characters have already gained the abilities when Versatility comes into play.
Camaraderie is ridiculous. Seeing as how those characters do not lose their bonus abilities when the main character granting the abilities dies.

Here's the thing. The "replacement" of a character works how does because, otherwise, Pelleaon and Versatility wouldn't be able to work as intended. Look up the precedents set by Unique and Black Sun, if the replaced character still counted as being in your squad, you would violate Unique by bringing in another version of that character. So, the replaced character no longer counts as ever having been in your squad.
So yes, urbanjedi is correct.
Now, I may have crossed a few wires when I wrote up the glossary of Camaraderie, and added an unintended interaction, but the designers have never really complained with it and how it was ruled.

I think we could use a step-by-step on timing for setup like we have for making an attack. It would answer a lot of questions all at once.

Your explanation makes sense. I agree that it shouldn't work that way, I'm glad it does not. Thanks Sithborg!

Ok so now here is a question.... If I use han in carbonite and choose the han with camaraderie what happens? Is the han with camaraderie now considered a part of my squad even though he is not on the map?

does that mean that the other "heroes" would get evade while Han is still frozen or just once he comes out to play?

Not sure because I ASSUME that once u unthaw Han you would be able to use versatility, although maybe not.
Sithborg, you are our only hope :)

I would think versatility would work as normal (i.e. after setup you can change who the frozen Han is), as once unfrozen it does not trigger any "at start of skirmish" abilities, so versatility wouldn't be triggered at all.
