Mid Round loss of activation Control? Options

SO there are 2 parts to this question.

1. If i Am Playing with San Hill (or any other Activation control piece that limits your activations to 1) and he is defeated mid round by a piece, say through grenades, or another ability do i get to activate 2 pieces or is it still one fro the Round?

2. On the Same Note if i am Playing a piece like Captain Mar Tuuk or Tarkin, who allow for 3 activations what happens if they die in the process?

Odd interaction but can happen obviously.

You check and/or choose the number activations in a PHASE at the beginning of that Phase. You cannot gain or loose turns in the middle of a phase.

thanks for the Clarification. This has never Come up for my before, it has always been at the beginning of a round or when an opponent killed the piece off during their turn.
